I always find it fun to run into people from home that you necessarily didn’t run with or know. Its kind like a class reunion without the stigmatism; people are supposed to grow up – the bitchy girls are supposed to have grown out of that stage etc. – but it always seems that it barely happens or only in shades of the true concept. Give it a few days and they are talking about the whole reunion as if they are still 17.
Speaking of … we might want to post that either USA or TNT (some channel like that) will be having one of those movies on later this week. I think it might be Mean Girls but I can’t remember the title. It’s the one with Lindsey Lohan. At any rate, these books/movies always seem to come up in the message boards.

Silver - I had to give a truck full of teenagers the evil mom eye in the pick up line at my son's middle school Friday. They were listening to a pretty graphic rap cd. I'm no prude but I agree with you that there's a time and place for things like that. I must be good at the "Mom" looks because they didn't just turn it down, they turned it off and then wouldn't make eye contact with me at all.
I've broken out my Christmas CD collection so I won't even listen to anything else for the rest of December. Plus, Sirius sattelite radio has some stations dedicated to Christmas music for the whole month.
LUV - I love love love snickerdoodles and sugar cookies. I'm coming over to your house.....
Guess what?!?! I went to the town Christmas parade tonight - the shorty's karate class had a float. The Baptist church was giving out cocoa so I stood in line behind a very nice lady and chatted with her while we waited. The man handed me my cocoa and I said, "Oh, thank you so much!" He said, "Wow, where are you from?" I said Illinois. Long story less long - the lady I'd been chatting with graduated from the exact same Decatur, Illinois high school I did, just five years earlier than me!!!! She was born and raised there. While we never met back then, we did know a lot of the same people. What a small world.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

The snow has stopped and the plow has gone by more times than I care to count. Alass, no snow day tomorrow.
So where is everyone? Brushing up on your top 100 billboard songs? Right now I am wondering why they do not limit some preforming singers to a late broadcast - I mean they attempt to do this with regular programing. I keep turning the channel so the youngsters aren't asking me "Mom this person said this - what does this mean?"

Silver - I'm jelous. Snow - we are wishing for some in the DC area!
Got the results back on my oldest. Its not pneumonia (whew!) but it is a lower respitory infection. So, it's bedrest until wed ( ) and then MAYBE she can go back to school. Can we say OMG! Plus I have to put her on prednisone (sp???). That means for the next few days - I will have the b*$^%est girl (steroids make her act really, really evil!). But, if it makes her better - I will survive (yes, the Gloria Gaynor song is now running thru my brain).

I know what you mean about it being quiet here. I like to check in during my lunch hour, but there was nothing.
I'm heading home-well actually just a brief stop at home to change and head out for all our after school events. Have a great evening everyone! Don't get too toasty by that fire, Silver!
I see everyone has called a truce on the snowball fight. I can come out of hiding now ~
The boards seem to be quiet today ... could it be that all PTO's are running smoothly, everyone is getting along and all 07 budgets are complete?!
Hope all is well with everyone ... it's snowing here AGAIN! Oh well - will have to sit in front of a roaring fire with a glass of <insert your favorite drink here> yet again tonight ... darn!
