My oh my .... we have quite the fun amount of snow falling & still on it's way for today. The favorite words of school children have been uttered & confirmed ... SNOW DAY! We have already pulled out the the stew fixings, selected our favorite movies and the kids are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to head outside for a snowball fight once you can see past your nose. Any one up for the fun?! SPLAT! Gottcha!

Not sure much comes from Egypt...which is why the midnight flying...I personally love that sound living near the firing ranges of Quanitco...
Just got back from "Dinner and a Movie" night...how fun...200 people and the BIG SCREEN showing of Polar Express...many hadn't seen it and lots of wet eyes in the house. Hospitality Chief was BRILLIANT and chose hot dogs, chips and juice boxes in a brown bag for easy pick up. Everyone was well behaved..we got the system to play through the acitivity room sound system...licenses intact and the smell of fresh poppped popcorn (over 150 bags served...all for "donation" which brings in tons more than charging ever does....
Phew--then came home and the best hubby in the world had hung the rest of the Christmas lights so at 9:00 all the boys were in the driveway doing the 10, 9, 8 countdown till the illumination. The 5 year old ran around the porch looking and saying "It keeps going and going and going"....
Okay .. here I am in my PJ's trying to watch TV ... all of a sudden you hear .... WAP WAP WAP! I thought the reserves were done for a while! It would be helpful if they had this kind of activity during the day so I can get out the binoculars but NOOOOOOO ~ they prefer evening runs. AGH!

ya gotta feel sorry for the crazies out there incl in the diamond lane.
probably a product of poor parenting to boot. but not an excuse by any means.
Luv - had the same urge. I staisfied it with a beef veggie soup and mocha brownies! Love the crockpot... makes my life a little easier.
Cc = I'm not that selfless - I just cant even IMAGINE being without my girls (or them without both of their parents) on any Thanksgiving, Christmas (OMG, tears my heart to even think about it) or their birthdays. So, that means I have to suck it up and deal. I really belive my girls have so benifited from this deal. They are so happy and so adjusted that I just know we've done the right thing!
Shawn - I'm so glad a cooler head prevailed. Seen/heard about to much road rage around here!

Thank God for specialists! Today's doctor was great. Even hubby liked him and he hates doctors - all of them - on principal. Anyway, this guy thinks he's narrowed it down to three possibilities and has begun treatment for two because they both respond to the same prescription. He thinks it's either one of two specific tick bourne diseases (that he would've picked up last time we went hiking) or a lesser known, but blessedly less severe, form of malaria that he could've picked up in Egypt. If it's the malaria then he's on his own to fight it, which can take three to four weeks (he's on day 8). Tylenol and Naproxen for fever and pain. The rash was the key to his suspicions because it's such a specific kind of rash that isn't present with the majority of infectious diseases. Whew.....
Hope everyone else is doing great!!!
Shawn - I'm glad to hear you didn't kill that guy - even if he is a supreme idiot and ridiculously dangerous!
