B - Great to see you!!! I'm jealous of your jump on the holiday shopping. I have 19 days until I leave for vacation and no shopping done yet. I have to have everything bought, wrapped and mailed by the evening of the 20th! I'd love a cafe mocha. I have a lot to do over the next 2 1/2 weeks.
d - I'm sending the packages to the troops this week. I'd rather have them arrive early than late.
We're finally putting the Christmas decorations up today. Hubby is watching the festivities from the sofa but that's really all he does anyway when it comes to decorating. He likes to watch, likes to be in the midle of it but doesn't really like the actual decorating part of it!
I heard from my little brother today. He declined a trip to the PX so he got some pay phone time. We talked for about 20 minutes. He's in his 6th week of basic. He gets two weeks off for Christmas then has one week left after he gets back. He graduates on January 12 and then heads to Fort Rucker. That's near my neck of the woods so I'll get to visit with him then! Yippee!!! I can't wait to see him!!!
Ya'll seem to be having way to much fun on here. I am in the middle of laundry hell. Yep, it's been a week since i last did any, is there a reason I did that???
Ok, for those of you who know that I switched jobs....after driving an hour one way for 7 years running 80mph on I40 I never once got nailed for speeding. Started this new job, within one week I got a speeding ticket. They won't just let you go to traffic school...NO NO No. You must first go to court - at night mind you - then you plead guilty - then you get your choice of paying the ticket - DUH - or traffic school. I thought traffic school in Nashville would be interesting so I am taking my chances. Or I could pay the $105.00 but it's C-mas time and I have better things to spend my money on. Where have I been – let me tell you – shoveling & using a pick axe on the ice! Once we finally got ourselves shoveled out the kids began making their snow forts – I do have to say they are pretty awesome. I made an attempt to hit a few stores yesterday so the rest of my time has been devoted to wrapping, packing & shipping gifts to the relatives today. Needless to say, I could use an oversized glass of wine right about now.
Besides the countless hours watching the kids enjoy the snow outside, another great thing about the recent storm is not being invaded! Either they are still digging themselves out or double digit negatives are too cold to be running night ops. Hee Hee!

Whoo Hooooo! Hubby got six whole hours of sleep last night - two sets of three hours but that's more than the past 10 days combined. Seems that doxycycline is one bad@$$ medicine. Leave it to hubby to be one of the only 1200 people who get Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever each year - out of season, away from high risk states. He can't get the flu like everyone else. And for the record, I'm never calling anything the flu again. Seems I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to the flu!
