I've been out of commission the last couple of weeks due to our office move-no chance to jump in for a chat from work and too tired when I got home! Except for a little tweak here and there it is done and looks great. We were SO due for a new place and new office furniture. Used the opportunity as a way to purge and organize too. It took many hours and muscles that hadn't been used that much in a long time!
CC and d, you both sound like you are going to have tons of fun in your new adventures! I have a new project too-some contract negotiation work. Just a small project, but something I haven't done before, so a new learning experience. Fun, fun , fun!!

Yeah! I miss the regulars, meeting new people who drop by and even Tim, who hasn't stopped in for a coffee and donut break for a while.
d, you crack me up! I had to run out this past weekend and stock up on my version of "teacher" clothes. No sweater vests or jumpers in the collection but lots of khakis and sweaters. I showed up to class yesterday wearing green khakis and a tan sweater. My professor was wearing the exact same color pants and sweater but she threw a red sweater vest into the mix. So, that's it. I'm just a sweater vest away from becoming a teacher.
I had my interview Monday and the principal said yes! Woo Hoooo. Now I'm just waiting for the teacher to call me so we can arrange our schedules. With testing, Valentine's Day, post-holiday recovery, post-snow day recovery and more snow on the way, I'm guessing I should hear from her by March or April!

Okay so I go in next week to take a course on "how to be an instructor". I have 3 outfits that if I mix up and get one more shirt I can stretch to 5. If I stay real quiet in the back of the room (which even without having met me you KNOW how good I'll be at that) no one will see I only have 3 pairs of dress slacks.
This going back to work thing is tough. The boys are excited though. I told them they'd probably get McDonald's next week ...hahahahhaa
Thanks for the vote of confidence CC. I think it will be fun. This is for some work I'm doing related to leadership and effective personal communications. I'm actually working with adults in one of those three letter organizations here in DC but will be travelling to offices across the country. It's pretty exciting but my angst is a bit higher given the audience. I've got to make sure I don't flip into kid stories .
I'll just take it slowly and work my way into it all. I have a great person in charge of all of this so hopefully it will be worthwhile for everyone involved.
