I don't know if mother nature has pms or what but let me tell you folks--it is 20 degrees outside now and I don't know what the wind chill factor is. For us FL folks thats COLD!!!!!!! I am not on a beach--the nearest one is about 200 miles away.
Get out a map and look at the FL Ga line and put your finger right in the middle and that is where we are at. I don't know how you people up north stand it-- I would freeze to death!!!!! I'm hoping it will warm up at the end of the week so I won't freeze when we go on vacation!!! I'll have some of those pink cookies and a cup of nice hot coffee. I made some peanut butter and some choc. chip. The peanut butter was so easy. My mom gave me the recipe. 1 cup p-nut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg,1 tsp vanilla mix it together roll into balls and squish with fork into criss-cross design and bake at 325 until lite brown on the edges. They are great and my kids do them.
Luv, next time add a drop of blue. Not much, just a drop. AND where was your hat???? I know, the last real winter we lived in Iowa it was that winter it was 30 below and often colder that was the year my husband bought me a new parka from Land's End and that spring we moved to Colorado! Sure I still wear it but feel silly! Now the teachers that have traffic duty have dibs on my coat! I even handed it to a teacher with no coat, in the rain, freezing cold! Did I mention I was in the van driving by and yelling "HERE!" That is one thing I would love to do is buy decent coats for these teachers to wear to direct traffic and crossing guards! You can't see someone in a black trench coat with black leather gloves! Safety tape yourself at least!

I brought Christmas cookies!!!! They're shaped like stockings and are supposed to be frosted red, but I couldn't get enough food coloring in there so they are kind of dark pink. My husband made fun of them so I took a bunch with me for the guys at work-they don't care about color, it just has to be edible(and sometimes I wonder about that)!
Pass the hot chocolate too. I spent the first half hour of my work day standing outside with a contractor planning a new addition to the office. It's 19 degrees with a wind chill that makes it feel like 0! My left ear is frozen(that's the side the wind was hitting)!
I love Cafe Mochas. Had one last night. Or the Caramel Frapp, but not when it's in the 30's.

Okay forgiveme but it really does get that cold in Florida? Sorry, but weather men only talk about sunny Daytona and every once in awhile the freeze that will make oranges expensive.
Speaking of oranges, the student that was lost in my son's class, well, his favorite color was orange. Three of us looked everywhere to find orange notebooks and/or folders for the class! We found some but in "Broncoland"- colors are blue and orange- we got a run for our money!
Has anyone tryed Starbucks eggnog latte- or something like that? Not my fav, go back to hot coco or a frap.
Well, I did it again!!!! I kinda played with PTO's mind again. I asked them to purchase 25 sets of earphones for the afterschool program. I got alot of objections and silence until I told them that it isn't just the afterschool kids who use them. that we share even though we don't have too. The teachers are using our computers for edutest, accelerated reader and they have acess to websites that were purchased by the afterschool program. I think they can share a little too, don't you? Some were kinda embarassed when I finished my speech.
