Had a dusting here too. Kids were too excited! They went to bed with their pjs inside out, hoping on a delayed opening or no school tomorrow. Ugh! Got too much to do before the holiday weekend for them to be at home and for me to be housebound. Maybe the snow gods are smiling on all of us and will hold off on the snowfall, at least till Friday. Keep your fingers crossed!
Hey Soccermom: I'm from Jersey just like you, only northern) and tonight we already have a dusting. I agree with ya, though about it being around for the holidays and then thats it! It looks so pretty after it falls and then the plows and cars make it all brown and yucky!
After the holidays, I am looking forward to the springtime again. (and February when I am going cruising to Mexico!!!yeah )
Try ZICAM for that cold...I swear it works like a charm, and it's over the counter! They're calling for snow here in Jersey...YUCK! I love how pretty snow is, and I love to go sledding, but then I want it OVER!! It's much too sloppy and dirty. Not to mention all of those hats, gloves, scarves, etc. It's not my cup of tea. I'd rather be lounging by the pool or at the beach soaking up the rays. But I guess it just wouldn't be Christmas without the cold...so I guess I'll stop my complaining and just hush and enjoy!

I have to admit, I hate Christmas being on the weekend. It seems like it just lasts longer and wears me out more. I have had a weird cough since Thanksgiving and gone through a sinus infection and several other things as well as all 3 kids getting some sort of stomach bug. I will be so happy when all of this is over and I can sit down because we have our first Christmas party the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Today was my 4th with 4 more to go as well as my 5th birthday party this month. Can someone get me some sleep for Christmas?
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Pass me something to cure this cold please!!! I didn't get to go on vaction because of it. I have the sinus problems from heck!!! Oh well, no use to whine about it. As far as being cold in FL, guess what? We could have some snow flurries in my area!! It will melt when it hits the ground, but who cares, it's still snow. In 1989, we had snow on the ground for Christmas all the way as far as Gainesville, FL. It was too cool!!! Stayed on the ground for 2 or 3 days. Since we didn't get to go on vacation I went to the teachers party with the people that work at my childs school It was so much fun!!!! My gag gift was a pair of candy cane boxers. I wanted to keep them but of course some one stole my present(boo hoo)
What I gave as a gag gift was a bright colored tye-dyed chicken that flapped its wings and moved its head while singing "Funky Chicken" They were fighting over that stupid thing!!! It was so funny. Well. See ya later.
