A round of JD for everyone with throat issues!!! And some red wine at dinner. If you must drink before noon, my Grandma told me it should have fruit juice. Her way of saying it was ok to have a mimossa on Sunday before she cooked lunch for 30+ people. :D

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Pour some of that Jack for me too! Just returned from the doctor's office with my antibiotic prescription. "Have you been around anyone with strep?" he asked. I said I volunteer at my children's school, God only knows what I've been exposed to there! He laughed at that! I should have coughed on him! I may just lay my head down here on my desk and take a nap.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

My great grandmother used to keep a little bottle of "medicine" next to her bedside table and had a little glass before bed every night. She said that it helped her sleep. She was probably the healthiest person I've ever known, and I don't remember her ever having a cold. She lived a long, happy life (she was a sprite 95 year old when she passed away)...and all of my relatives have red wine with every meal. Never a heart condition in my family! When would be an appropriate time to take that JD? It's 10:45am, alittle too early? It would put me in a good mood before going up to the school to start my work

Even my family doctor told me to have a warm whiskey and honey to help with my cough and sore throat. I know about the to do lists. I have mine broken down into 3 pages for the 3 days the kids have school this week. As far as the computer thing goes, at least you are putting your awake time to good use for your sanity!

mykidsmom, sooo funny, but true. There's nothing better than fighting a cold with alcohol! My parents swore by that(for themselves not the kids). Not that it was done alot, but I do remember my mom, who other that a few times following that remidey, never drank. Looking back, I wonder if she was really sick, or just sick and tired of dealing w/ 5 kids day in and day out and needed a break :D .

Ok, another question. What the heck am I doing up at this hour???? It's 4:50 a.m. and I've been up since 3:30. It's been a long, busy and late night weekend. I know that I'm on vacation (from work, not home), this week and have a to do list 3 pages long, of which I'll be lucky to accomplish 1/2 a page. Well, hubby will be up in a few minutes and he'd freak if he knew I was on the computer this early in the morning.
