Before you ax us (I hope you decide not to)or decide to downsize the page please give warning so that I can save it to my computer for any newcomers that we have that would like to know how we started or for my own amusement cause I really don't think you could find a place like page two in the real world. Thanks
I love pay backs too!!! My wonderful sister in law proceded to tell me and my mother in law at Thanksgiving one year when my children were playing with her less than one year old child that he was not going to be like the rest of the (my last name) children. Well, the jokes on her because at 4 years old, he is worse than any of the other 5 that she was bad mouthing!!!! HA<HA<HA
As far as the whatugots, I've got a 15 year old that is not sure weather he is grown or still a child in the raging of hormone &*&^. I've got a 13 year old that is suspended for 3 days because he refuses to do anything in school and said that it was dumb to do stuff that he already knew how to do and that they need to be better teachers. I've got a 12 year old that thinks he is smarter than the world and nothing is ever his fault.
I need some hot apple cider and some oatmeal cookies. Been a rough week!!!!
This sounds terrible but my sister just had her first baby two years ago in the Spring. Well, in the meantime she has been the "perfect aunt" you know...MY KIDS will never do that! I tell you what, my mom and I are having the time of our life watching this little $hit walk all over her! My mom smiles and says "couldn't have happened to a nicer person!" Did I mention Mom earned every gray she has from her! Seriously! I was too scared to do anything!
I love that game. I play it with my mom and she reminds me of what my brother and I did.
And reporting for the "Can't believe they did that" section, my 9 year old has been saving every cent to the point of making me nuts for our spring break trip to Great Wolf Lodge-cause he didn't have enough spending money last year. The kid has saved over $200. He spent $20 each on the four other members of our family and announced to us tonight that he wanted to give the rest of the money to any place that would give kids who didn't get anything for Christmas presents. After regaining my ability to speak, I offered to match his donation. My selfish child has now thought of someone else, noone could have bought me a present this good!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
I'm pretty sure I've told this story somewhere on here before, but I just couldn't resist...
My sister and I play a game called "Whatchugot" (read: what you got)... this is a true story, not just an example...
I called my sister and said "I've got a 10 year old boy who looked me square in the eye and asked to go to a rave party with his 18 year old brother who lives in the Phoenix area--- whatchugot?"... She answers back "I've got a 12 year old daughter who looked me straight in the eye and asked to go to a Girls Gone Wild event in Bakersfield"...
My son is 8 but I have the 13 daughter that knows more than I do AND SHE is right! I only wish she was! We have actually had the police stop by the house because a neighbor called concerned about a "young girl" operating the gas grill. My husband and I were at a friend's for dinner (gone maybe 2 hours) and she was asked to make a pizza for the "little ones". Instead she decided to grill burgers when she was told no. You know what she told the police, "I'm sorry, I just wanted a burger. I'm really careful and help my Dad all the time ( yeah sure, getting a plate! )." He asked her to not use the BBQ and left! OMG! Was she scared...no. and I still have an 8,6,4,2year olds.....
