Crew chief you have some good ones!
 Tip: Always tell fundraise companies at least 30 more students than you actual have so you get extra catalogs!

Peeve:When You forget to put a contact number on a flyer

:D Tip: Double check , make that triple check flyers for dates, times, phone number, location, who to make check out to, yada yada!

Peeve: All of those catalogs you get at this time of year trying to get you to sell ANYTHING!

;) Tip: Have volunteers wear name tags at events, have name tags at meetings as well!

Peeve:People who write all over their fundraiser order forms and you need to try to figure it out!

Tip: Never stop learning or you will stop growing as a group

Peeve: People who think parent groups are snobby !!!

I am having too much fun with this!

Tip: When discussing Old Business, recognize if there are attendees who may be out of the loop and quickly fill them in so they're caught up and can share in the discussion.

Tip: Start meetings on time and stick to the agenda.

Tip: Send out the agenda via email a week before each meeting with a "See you next Thursday!" message. It reminds everyone that their presence is important. You'll get replies from folks who can't make it and know before the start of meeting if you're going to have a quorum.

Tip: Delegate.

Trick: Have cookies at the first meeting of the year. Folks will show up for at least one or two more meetings hoping for more cookies. By the time they catch on, you'll already have them committed to projects!

Peeve:  Members who won't talk during a meeting but then call or email me later that evening to give me their opinions or ask questions. My meetings run from 7:00 to 8:00 but then I spend 9:00 to Midnight answering phone calls and email messages.

Peeve:  Side conversations in meetings. Whoever has the floor deserves the respect and attention of everyone at the meeting.

Addition to pals tip on sending letter to everyone about fundraising pickup: our fundraising committee CALLED everyone last year. They called until they got a person(no answering machines).

Peeve: Principals who fawn all over you when they want something and then ignore you....or worse yet don't say thank you.

Peeve: People who say they want to be involved and yet can never seem to find the "right" job for themselves
