I'll play bartender and serve up the drinks. Here they come hot and cold!!
In a great mood today. Had our Family Game Night Friday and it was fantastic! Tons of people laughing, smiling, and playing with their children. I had to wander around every once in awhile and coax some off their duffs(you know the ones-they come to family nights and sit and watch their children play), but it is definitely something we'll do again!
I also left my husband home with the kids today. It's good for him!! We'll see if he gets the laundry done!
I'm in the mood to cook. How about I make a big pot of chili to warm us up and tap a fresh keg to wash it down?
Prop up those feet, take a load off. I usually look at Everybody loves Raymond, aobut this time of night. Poor, poor Debra. Always get good laughs. And its so rotten cold here, gotta have my Lipton tea with orange, passionfruit & jasmine. Well, it sounds tropical. Anyone want some? Kids--what kids--sent them off to their own tropical island for weekend.
Ohhhh, can I kick my feet up and stay awhile? It's been a very hetic day. Not feeling well, kids are wound tighter than a 7 day clock, it's cold and dreary out (sorry guys, I know that you've been through worse), tired from not sleeping well, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Now for the great news. My very "adult" 17 yr. old suprised me with tickes to GEORGE STRAIT!! What a suprise! We've been planning out trip this weekend and it's turning out geat. Already have a parking pass, decided to skip work/school that Friday so we can get settled, chill and what ever. Now I just have to get a hotel room reservered. I'm not at all familiar with the Orlando area, but like the trafic or not here we come.
Krispy Cremes go with anything! Just throw them in the microwave for 7 seconds and they'll be just like new. If the bar is still open, I would liek an Irish Coffee because, as the weather man said, it was colder here than in Siberia today. I brought some lemon cake. Note to self: if you don't want to eat the stuff, don't bring it into the house!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Yes, I finally found him after my husband took 2 days off of work to drive all over the place and $20 worth of gas later. He is now safe and sound, the kids are excited that he's back and no more tears from any of us.
It's funny how you can take for granted that our animials will always be there and then suddenly they do something out of the norm and how much you reall do care for them. Even though you know how much you love them and care for them, when they're not around how much you truly miss them.
I think that everyone will be around later or Saturday. Most are recovering from their busy week.
Hello to my fellow Michigander closetwriter!
Welcome! Where are you in this snow lovin' state? I'm up the northwestern lower peninsula, near Traverse City. There are many other PTA/PTO'ers from Michigan who come here.
We almost sold out of our Krispy Kremes just from sitting at a table at the school all day! YEAH! Now no one has to sit outside in the 0 degree weather to sell them.
I'm thinking I'm gonna switch up the drink and go with a Huggy Bear; hot cocoa, a shot of peppermint, schnapps, and LOTS of whipped cream. Cause no matter how much it looks like a luau in here and even with Jimmy Buffet singing, I was froze to my bones today and can not get 'em warm.
