Monday is my big cleaning day. Just found a bag of Nestle Crunch Bars. I forget where I hide stuff from the kids--then find it later. So, here, have some chocolate.
Did I hear a request for chocolate?
Have some of my homemade deep dish brownies. I brought some milk too! I am in a chocolat emood myself.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
My daughter found the "vine" idea in our Family Fun issue on Friday. I made one this morning and it was so easy(cheap too). Love that magazine!
Having a mixed day. Ran a screwdriver into my finger trying to open a watch back. Luckily, the kids weren't around to hear Mommy's expanded vocabulary! Need a $200 car repair. My ride was 15 minutes late. Discovered the easy vine project, then I found out I got another great donation for our spring carnival, so that perked me up.
Glad to hear that you're going to try the recipe. It's fabulous! I'm so embarrassed...I meant to write "Mangia" afterwards...that's italian. I've been teaching my children french--and I wrote "Mange" accidentally, oops! I should stick with english. At any rate, enjoy! (Oh yeah, of course it's low fat...hehe!)
Okay ladies, here's the recipe:
TORTE DI RICOTTA
Ingredients:
Cake Batter--yellow cake mix (preferably Duncan Hines ALL BUTTER)
Ricotta cheese mixture--15 oz.ricotta; 3 eggs; 1 cup sugar; 2 tsp vanilla
Prepare cake batter as directed on box and pour into large oblong pan.(I use a glass pan 13x9) DO NOT GREASE PAN. Mix ingredients for ricotta mixture all together, adding one egg at a time and mixing well after each addition. Pour cheese mixture over top of cake batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 55 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cake will rise over the cheese mixture and cheese mixture form a custard-like layer at bottom of pan. Cool well and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Mange!
