Thanks, ScottMom.You sound like me last year: PTA pres, cub scout leader, working full-time and taking a class, way too much and I suffered burn-out. But I made it through without a scar. LOL
No school today because of freezing rain, our area is one giant ice skating rink. Of course, my son was upset because of the Valentine's party, despite telling him that it would be tomorrow. It was set in his mind for today and he doesn't care about tomorrow. Need to find something to take hie mind off it. Guess I'll get into the Family Fun mags and find a craft.
Everyone take care and hopefully more will visit here or Tim might think we don't like it anymore and take it from us......please don't Tim, we beg!!!! LOL
Debbie, hope it goes well. I've been doing school (college) work all weekend. Tomorrow I'm doing 2 Valentine's parties and have an essay due, Tuesday is the turn in for our spring catalog fundraiser and the SPMT meeting and I have a class, Wednesday I have an exam as well as late fundraiser orders, Thursday I have another exam and 2 parent teacher conferences. I think Friday I will just drop dead! I'll take a double of Tuaca please and some of that bread.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Wow!!! No one has been here all weekend, what happened? I didn't see a quarantined sign! Oh well, I've brought a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup, complete with fresh bread. Notice I didn't say homemade bread. I use the frozen loaves.
I have a very busy week ahead, our magazine sale kicked off Thursday and we have three turn-in days over the next two weeks. My fingers and toes are crossed on this one cause I pushed for it and we've never done mags before. If we don't make at least $6500, I may just be disowned.
Think I may need a shot of something, anything to ease the nerves. Barkeep, pour me a double!!
Oh, someone please give me some Tylenol and a shot of Jack. I'm getting sick and that's just NOT on my schedule of events for the rest of the week! I have a scratchy throat, congestion in my chest and a fever. I have to pick up donations tomorrow from 6 businesses and take request letters to 3 more. I also have to hang signs to promote the upcoming spring carnival, make tons of copies, put together advance sale ticket packets, help in both kids' classes AND do my housework. My husband has also decided to take the day off--so much for a nap at any point. May have to give him a lesson in volunteer work! The way things are going I'll bet my mother-in-law shows up unannounced either tonight or tomorrow!
Staff used to just help themselves to our supplies (usually the goodies and pop) when they were kept in the school's locked closet-which is left open a lot! It drove me nuts. Our stuff is at the far end of the school now in a room that's almost always locked so now no one takes anything. I brought a King Cake to celebrate Fat Tuesday so enjoy and whoever gets the peice with the baby gets to bring it next year!

Mmmmmmm, sloppy joes. Thanks closetwriter, now I know what to fix for supper!
I had to get eloquent this morning. My son and I went in early to put together the display for our spring carnival's drawing. One of the prizes is 120 bags of candy bars(120 kids will be drawn). He went back to the office to grab some bags to put in the display, and returned with one that had been opened. We counted the candy bars and sure enough someone had eaten one! I made a lovely sign to put on the boxes explaining that they were not "free snacks". They are in a room where no children go, so it had to be an adult. Unbelieveable!
