Once again Kansas has proved that it is a freak of nature. This is our 2nd day in the 60's. Don't worry, we will have snow again next week. Needless to say, everyone in my house is stir crazy with the call of warmer weather. Will someone please pass me a tall margarita on the rock with ice? My husband wants to go to the movies, has anyone seen anything good lately?

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Thank you Closetwriter, just received your envelope today! It is much appreciated, but I thought you were sending the Soft'n'Good bread labels so I was pretty surprised to find Tyson labels. Hey, it all counts, so thank you.
Yes, Yuba is near Kalkaska. From here you go to Acme(nearer to Traverse City) and Yuba ia a blink and you miss it whistle stop before you get to Elk Rapids.
It's all beautiful area. Won't be alot of snowmobiling up here unless we get more snow(perish the thought--ARGH!!)The sun is warm today and the temp is supposed to hit 45 this weekend.
Most of snow has turned to lakes and mud. LOL
Not good for the businesses that depend on the tourist, but I'll take it.
Our local store has BC brownie mix on sale this week for 99 cents so I'll be buying up the store, I'll bring some to share this weekend, all the brownies that ScottMom#1 brought have been consumed. And they were delish!!

Isn't it funny how the "I nevers..." will come right up and BITE YOU IN THE BUTT every time!? I once said that "I will never serve as PTA President"...guess where I am today? (That goes along with --I'll never let my kids watch TV, I'll never raise my voice to my precious children, etc....oooh, let me turn down the TV so I can think straight....) How do we get ourselves into these things? I love the prayer "Dear Lord, please place your arms around my shoulders and your hands over my mouth". Maybe I'll use that left over duct tape from before to tape my arms down at our next meeting so that I don't volunteer to take anymore committees or "jobs". And while I'm at it, I might just go out and purchase an electric cattle prod so that when we DO need some volunteers, I can just give a little "zap" to those around me...I'll have 'em jumping out of their seats to help out!!! hehehe...Yep, that sounds like a plan. Wait, is that wrong?!?!? (Don't care!!!)

I can relate! I swore I was not going to take on any big projects with our spring carnival this year, but the committee is so small. I woke up lat night at 12:35 and thought "What have I gotten myself into?!" I laid there in bed and went through the mental list of things I took on and realized I can do it, but it's going to be tough. Need to get everything on a list and start prioritizing!

Thanks for the reminder! Of course, we do it for all the right reasons, and the good ALWAYS outweighs the bad. Sorry for "unloading" on you all--I am better now. It's just nerves, I guess. Sometimes you just get a little overwhelmed, you know? It seems as though the busier my home life gets, the more that I'm needed up at the school (or maybe it's just my perception.) Probably on the "lighter" household weeks, I don't notice it when the school gets demanding. I guess I've finally realized my limitations. Superwoman? Yeah, right!!! She can have it!

soccer,
You do it because you're a parent who believes that being involved in your child's school is one of the most important things you can do in life. It's sad that those other folks don't take advantage of the opportunity.
