Yummy!! Debbie that sandwich sounds good--cut me a slice!! Going to keep that in mind when we have another family picnic--sounds really easy and good!
We have 2 more days till spring break--the house is almost done being spring cleaned and I am so ready to enjoy the time with the kiddos. Busy busy month and we all deserve a break!!
Hey everyone, I've got freshly baked sugar cookies shaped like bunnies! Anybody?
I can't wait for our break to start. This month has been way too busy. I'm feeling it, the kids are feeling it. My husband seems to be releiving his stress with lots of basketball. An obscence amount if I do say so!
Hope to have some nice weather so we can clean off the flower beds and see what's peeking through. Then maybe air up the bike tires and go for a family ride through the park. Got to bake some of those bunny cookies for real too!!
Well we got sunshine...and the snow is meeeeeelting away!!!!! One day til spring break. We don't have anything planned except cleaning
the hell hole I call my son's bedroom. Maybe if we tackle that first, I'll feel like planning some day trips for us. Gonna do some serious weeding out in that room!
Closetwriter: I received the envelope, thank you so very much!!! Keep 'em coming..lol.
If anyone is hungry, I've left a loaf sandwich in the fridge....that's a round loaf of sourdough bread, the top sliced off and hollowed out. Then I layer spinach, pastrami, swiss, honey ham, purple onions, provolone, tomatoes. Pour Italian dressing throughout and put the top back in place. Let it set at least 12 hours in foil then slice into wedges.....YUUUUUUUMMY. I love making this for picnics. Enjoy!!
It always makes me feel so blessed when I read about some of the issues you poor souls have. We are so wonderfully lucky to have a great administrative staff at both of our schools. We have experienced very little teacher participation this year(due to no contract for almost 2 years and their union pushing them to only do what is required)but they always accept and welcome our presence in the schools.
Thank you so much, closetwriter, I'll be looking for the envelope...and the bread crumbs!!! lol
Scottmom, thanks for your perspective. I too was a gifted child, luckily I had parents and teachers who kept me challenged and never made me feel out of place. I also had wonderful friends who admired my gifts and never made fun of me.
My daughter and I talked a bit last night(after she had tortured her gymnastics teacher) about friends and their influence on our behavior. I wanted her to be mindful that some of the things those children do/get away with are not acceptable in our family. This morning she was happy again, but I think there is something more going on and hopefully with the help of her teachers I can find out more and help her through it. Aah the joys of parenting!
