Whoo weee, the flue hit hard here too. Shorty crashed Thursday and I caught up with him Saturday. I guess a flu shot in September doesn't cover you in February..... I'll wait longer next year, maybe get it in December.

Shorty missed school Thursday and we both just slept all day.

I do the kiss on the forehead too ~ best way ever to judge a fever.

I heard songbirds this weekend! No robins yet, maybe in a couple of months, but it's still encouraging to know that Spring is on the way.

The snuggling thing is usually how I end up contracting the illness too. When they're sick, you just can't help yourself. I'm big on the kiss on the forehead to check the temp. I was amazing my hubby with my talent last week. He thinks he can tell with the inside of his wrist better, so we both did our feel and put in a guess then took my son's actual temp with the thermometer. I beat him every time! I can usually come within a couple of tenths. Lost that ability though when my own fever developed!!!

Oh luv--how sweet...the whole illness stuff is rushing through our house too. First the older 2 and now the 7 year old is down with a fever and miserable cough at night. I cannot help but hold them and kiss them and rock them when they're like this. Last night the one who is sick now looked up at me with his huge brown eyes and asked "Mommy-don't you ever get sick"... I just smiled at said "No honey--mommies don't get sick".
It was just one of those moments you know....

Here's hoping you're daughter experiences passover as well!

Thanks for the flowers and good wishes. The flu hit me like a Mack truck on the freeway Tuesday evening. I missed 2 days of work. I couldn't move. Hubby has it now. Son ended up missing 3 days of school. He was pretty cute on Wednesday trying to take care of me on his last day of recuperation. I was lying on the love seat shivering uncontrollably and he went and got the down throw and put it on top of my other blanket and tucked it around me. He said "This blanket was the only thing that got me warmed up when I was shivering, Mom." Then he kissed my forehead and went back to his own little bed on the couch. I love that kid!

Crossing my fingers and toes that at least my daughter will miss it.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

It would be wonderous if crocuses were able to make it through the amount of snow we have here, I can't even see my 4 foot boxwoods. Poor dog ins't quite sure where to 'go' .... little leg can't make it up that far ... it's like walking out of a tunnel to get out of the house and down the driveway. Perhaps all the snow means no drought in the spring/summer and tons more flowers. I used to have about 20 rose bushes at our old house and had fresh roses in the house every chance I got. Can almost smell them now.
Well today is grocery day so off I go to check out the coupon stash and plan my attack. Have a good day everyone!
