Hello Friends! I'm back from my wild Spring Break....
Menlo, sorry you're having a tough time. Yes, Spring is on the way. I was in Alabama last week. The daffodils, hyacinths and Bradford pears were in full bloom. It was beautiful!
I trained my rear end off and then tested Friday for my 6th kyu yellow/stripe belt in karate. I'm happy and relieved to say I passed! Check out the photos:
Hey Menlo--if you (or anyone else) has some girlscout cookies you'd like to donate and send to soldiers in Iraq email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I'll give you an address to send a bit of home over there to the guys and gals. You know EVERYONE LOVES girlscout cookies. It'd really make their day!!!!
I have had the craziest, worst and best month ever. PTO controversy and triumph, my kid is gearing up for softball, we're knee deep in Girl Scout cookies, we've all been sick, my car was in the shop while I was sick and I worked in there somewhere. Spring is on it's way with flowers and warm weather appearing here and there. Now it's Spring carnival time!
Spring is just around the corner, Silver! I looked out my window the other day and discovered some of my tulips poking up through the ground! Now, as long as the rabbits don't munch them I'll have beautiful blooms in no time. Those bunnies may have to be relocated to a nice woodland area somewhere far from my house if they have gnawed off my blueberry bushes again. I'll have to check them tonight. The long-eared stinkers ate them f so far down last year that they didn't even bloom last summer. I tried covering them, but the darn wind kept blowing the covering off. Good thing the bunnies are cute or they'd be in deep trouble!
Here comes the sun ... don't look now but the snow is melting and you can see grass peeking through ... gosh if this keeps up I may have to pack away those wool sweaters.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.

You know jajea, I had both relief and regret. It was REALLY nice to just be able to sit back and volunteer/serve as chair for the programs and events I really enjoyed, but it was also difficult to see some things disappear/change because the new board just didn't want to work that hard. Just make the things you do the best they can be and think about how much your family will enjoy having you more available for them!
