Kiddies are off here today, Friday and Monday. I don't work tomorrow, so I'm trying to think of something fun for us to do. Too bad it's so squishy outside(and we may get snow tonight) or we'd hit the driving range and batting cages. Might have to settle for Wii baseball and golf!!
I know, don't you wonder how the shoe got there? Did someone set it on the roof of their car and forget it before they drove off? Did someone else in the car yank it off their foot and throw it out? When I see kids' shoes, I think "Someone doesn't have the kiddie window lock set in their car." Boy, are they gonna be happy when they get home!
THIS is why my life is so funny. I'm driving along one of the roads in my town and I see a shoe laying on the side of the road. You know - we've all seen them. Just one shoe lying there...and 10 minutes I'm laughing out loud while I imagine a guy pulling up in his driveway, going to get out of the car and saying:
Oh good one CC, we can't even see your face!!! Nice belt though!
I'll have to try d's recipe too. Small quantity though 'cause only my son and I eat broccoli. My latest craving has been asparagus, especially grilled with a little EVOO and a sprinkle of salt. Again, only son and I eat it. My daughter and hubby refuse to expand their vegetable horizons.
Oooo, Catfish Cabin.... What I really wanted was BBQ chicken nachos (and a cold beer) from Uncle Sam's in Oneonta. None of that for me though. I had to get through 10 hours of training and then a two hour test over five days. Couldn't have any greasy food holding me down.
I'm the one with the solid yellow belt. My new belt, the one I tested for, will have the stripe. The big guy with the hair! I've trained with him for 1 1/2 years and I still can't get over the hair!!!!
Cold and foggy here today with spotty rain. I'll be happy to see the sun come out ~ any time now.....
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."
