Well, here I am in Iowa.....water, water, everywhere....... Couldn't even get to Illinois yesterday to visit parents due to all the road closures. Just thankful that we live up and out of the way of the river.

:eek: I'm testing for my green belt in karate tonight!!! I'm pretty nervous about it. I think I'm ready but after two solid weeks of karate camp I am worn out. The kids were great, everyone had fun and they all learned a lot. Now I'm ready to go to bed and sleep until Monday. But, no. Testing is tonight and another chance doesn't come around for two more months. So, here I go......

Lessons in life I have five and two year old boys. I have friends with kids in elementary and middle school. All I Hear about is how they are paying for all the little things because the schools don't have any money. I feel like I do well but money is still an issue with rising prices a family can struggle making 100 grand. My oldest boy Philip will begin Kindergarten in the fall. With little Ethan just a few years behind. I would like to be involved with helping schools self sustain financially and nutritionally. I invite everyone to brainstorm with me as I already have some Ideas. P.S. do i start a group or friends list? If its the latter be my friend
Good for you, d! Your son is so right too and that young man you encountered learned a valuable lesson that he will hopefully remember the next time he thinks of opening his big mouth in an attempt to humiliate a complete stranger. If I would have been in the line, I would have given you a big cheer!!!
