Unregistered, that's so weird..... Is there a link to the story online? I've never seen a 29 year old who could pass for a 12 year old. Was anyone paying attention?

ScottMom... Um.... don't you have children? ;) My dad always said he was the only guy he knew who had three dishwashers, a gardner, and a remote control TV because he didn't have six kids for nothing!

Seriously, though, I feel your pain. I hate to hand wash dishes. Oh so long ago now, I once went six months without a dishwasher because I was too poor to call a repairman or get a new one. One day, out of sheer frustration, I pulled the darn thing out, determined to fix it myself. The only thing wrong with it was that the drain line was plugged. I had it cleared out and put back together in 15 minutes. Grrrrrr I wish I'd thought of that six months sooner! It was a good lesson, though because now I'll try to fix anything myself way before I'll call someone else to do it. It usually works out, except for the rare occasion when I actually make it worse and it costs even more to fix it!

I found out today my diswasher has been recalled and we aren't supposed to use it until a serviceman can come fix it (almost a month in our area) or we can get $75 towards the new one. What about my pain and suffering while I have to do the dishes myself?!? :)

What about that news of the 29yr old that was posing as a 12yr old student and enrolled in public school....very unsettling.

Ga-It's great to hear from you. I was starting to worry. At one point in my life I was studying to be a nurse and I was a little worried with you needing to be on that medicine. The only people I knew of taking it were some patients with chronic pain or cancer who were already on pain meds. I hope you get back on schedule soon. That's the worst part about being sick for me. My 3 year old woke me up in the middle of the night vomiting and by the time he calmed down and I got everything cleaned up we'd been up over 2 hours. Of course I couldn't settle back down thinking he would get sick again. I think I got 3 hours of sleep for the whole day. I'm ready for bed but I have some weird balance on my bank statement that I can't explain and it's driving me nuts!

Hey CC--I'm here and sobered up from those crazy pills. Man, it took me several days to get back to normal. It was really scary to tell the truth.

Did I tell yall I hit my trashcan with my drivers side mirror, while backing out of the driving and fussing at the kids? And this was BEFORE the pills. :) The trashman left the big can on the side of the driveway instead of the sidewalk and one of the boys smarted off to the other and I was in the middle of fussing at them both at 7:30 Friday morning, and WHAMO!! The mirror was hanging off the car by the wires that make it move. Called hubby who told me to go ahead and rip it off so that it wouldn't be flopping in the wind as I drove 80 down I75 going to school. So now we get to pay 300 to get it back on. Hubby isn't real happy, but is on a trip to Tampa for a couple of days, so at least I don't have to hear the fussing. :(

Has anyone's child read Shades of Gray for school? My 5th graders are reading it now, and it is an awesome book! OMG! It is one everyone should have to read. It's about a boy who goes to live with his uncle and aunt when his whole family dies during the Civil War. The students had a big discussion today about states rights and individual rights. Some even started questioning Iraq. This is the best class. They really use their brains.

CC--don't get lowballed on that house! You just had the pool put in and everything! (Did you get to use the pool?)

Hey T-how is school going??

GO COLTS!!!!! No real affiliation with either team, just think that Payton is cute and so is his brother!

We freeze blueberries and my boys love them. They like blackberries off the vine and scupernogs (wild grapes) too! We have to watch for snakes around them though. And nothing is better than a green plum right off the tree! YUM!

Off to bed--I'm still catching up!

The kids and I love blueberries too. I make a blueberry sauce with them. The kids smother their pancakes with it. I figure it's better than syrup. Recipe:

1 bag frozen blueberries
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp Splenda or sugar

Place in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid thickens and blueberries start to break down. Stir frequently.

I just start it when I start the sausage/bacon and by the time I have the pancakes done it's ready. I planted 4 blueberry bushes last year, so hopefully we'll get a few fresh ones this summer.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
