Banana Moon Pies are always great! Gosh, I can't even remember the last time I had one of those.....

I love the quote too. I read it for the first time about 20 years ago and I truly believe it. I told my new friend here that the greatest thing about moving around so much is that I get to meet someone like her, but it's also the hardest part because I know I have to leave. She said, "God sends people to us when we need them. They may only briefly touch our lives but they turn our heart in the direction it needs to go." Her words were so similar to this quote that I always carry around inside my own heart!

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the true perfection of one's character."

Although i hate the thought of contaminating the water, it would be kind of interesting to see all the little worms on those pills. :) Man, they would be zipping all over the place. :)

CC--I absolutely LOVE the quote you have at the bottom of your posts! That is so true.

No brownies here--had to settle for a banana moon pie. :)

I've read that the only proper way to dispose of medicine is to return it to your pharmacy. They say that flushing them contaminates the ground water.

Mmmm, brownies. I have a Ghirardelli box mix in the cabinet. I'm off to make those right now! Hubby's been gone all week and gets home later tonight. He'll enjoy the smell of something chocolate baking when he comes in the door.

CC--your dishwashing story is funny! That is my kind of luck! Our air conditioner was acting up last summer, we called a guy out, for a 60.00 service call, and all he did was pick up my water hose and wash the grill-y looking thing off. Boy did I feel like an idiot. And I was super embarassed, cause I took it as a personal insult to my cleaning. But since the thing is outside, on a side of the house I never go around, I got over it soon.

The whole vaccine thing is ridiculus. I heard about the 29 year old, but didn't read the whole story cause I knew it would just make me mad. The other thing that really ticks me off, is all the teachers who date their students. What in the world are they thinking? How do they lose all focus like that? Some people are just loopy. It's a shame.

I am kind of weird that I like to wash dishes. NO, I am not still sick. For me, it is the monotony of doing it. Something I can do and not have to think about and just be still for a few minutes. Our dishwasher messed up a couple of weekends ago, and I handwashed all weekend. Now, don't get me wrong, I would inflict bodily harm if someone came and took mine or said it would be a whole month of it. But the weekend wasn't so bad. I'm just strange like that. I also like to push mow my yard. :)

I washed the pills down the sink. I didn't want to trash them, and some animal get a hold of them. My hubby told me that was dumb, but still. Really, what is the proper way to dispose of meds?

Going to find something sweet---really craving brownies.

Maybe (tongue in cheek) the school budget cuts got soooo severe they have to find private donors like pharmaceutical companies...in exchange for making such policies. But then agian, its not clear even who is supposed to pay for it , the families, the schools, will it be free, will health insureance cover it, waht about families with no or not enough , coverage....sounds really really strange, this whole thing. I guess if htere were an aids vaccine, they would require that too in tx? Never a dull moment in public education. huh.
