Good job d! I'll bet everyone had a great time.

I live with lists and sticky notes, and if someone ever took my calendar off the wall at home the world would come to a screeching halt! I've been trying to teach my kids to use the calendar and assist me in remembering who is supposed to be where. I've often thought it would be nice to have a housekeeper, but I think a chauffer/scheduler would be better.

I spotted an old boyfriend a few years ago when we were at an event with the kids. He had cheated on me with someone who was a bit more, shall we say "willing" than I was and we broke up. He now has half his teeth missing, chain smokes, and looks like he crawled out of a gutter. There but for the grace of God....

I am so glad everyone is having a great Spring morning/day today. It helps to reassure me that not everyone is having 'issues' with 'issues' stacked on top of whatever else they feel they need to tell you. Just walk away is my new motto ... just walk away.
It's funny to hear D talk about a 'guy' ~ a few months ago I ran into an old boyfriend at one of the schools events. This guy went out of his way (ran up quite a few isles of chairs) to see if it was really me. Come to find out he doesn't live in the state, visiting parents, and once I introed him to my husband & kids the energy was deflated from his conversation. Thank goodness my hubby didn't ask who this person was etc I am not sure how I would have handled that conversation.

What am I doing? Who are you people? Where am I? HA-HA, talk about forgetting things. I really think it gets worse when the weather turns nice because I'm thinking of getting outside whenever I can.

So, today the sun is out and the temp is warming...need I say more?:D

Ha -- my neighbor said to me "Remind so and so that she needs to check my mail while I'm away in case I forget to remind her"...so I say "So and so--don't forget to check neighbors mail, she's probably already reminded you" and neighbor 1 says..."No she forgot to remind me and I forgot about checking it so thanks".

It struck me that between the 3 forty something women we had probably one good 30 year old brain :).

Muffins with Moms this morning. I'm always amazed when these things come off well. 500 registrants, children speaking as to why/how much they loved their moms, 6 dad volunteers....5 teacher volunteers...got my 4 UP AND AT SCHOOL BY 7:15....

Ah the miracles of spring.

Don't fel bad CC, I've had the same memory issues. I don't think it's Alzheimer's I think it's just that our lives are so busy that sometimes things get lost in the old memory banks.

I love, love, love it when the flowers start blooming. My azaleas started opening this weekend, and this morning-WOW! They are just gorgeous. I saw 3 people drive by and slow down to look at them this morning. I lucked out with them because most people's froze off when we had that cold snap. Mine are on the north side of the house and are always about 2 weeks behind everyone else's, so they were still closed up tight when the cold hit. I also got flowers put into all my pots this weekend, so the house looks quite pretty right now.

d, that's alright.... we'll wait til you get back for "the rest of the story...." ;)

The first signs of alzheimers showed up this week. I'm only 41 but I swear my memory is slowly slipping away. Anyway... some flowers in my yard are opening up and they're beautiful. I've had these flowers in other yards and I've alway enjoyed them. Monday I looked at them and thought, "Oh, yeah, the
are blooming." I could not think of the name. It's been driving me crazy. They're lillies. Lillies! It's not like it's a weird name that's easy to forget, just plain old, run of the mill yellow lillies. How do I know that now? Because I had to go on the internet and look them up. Urg! Maybe it's time to get my thyroid levels checked again.

So, the good news is that the lillies are blooming! Yeah! And, I noticed as I drove Shorty to school that the magnolias are starting to bloom too. They're so beautiful. I'm gad I stayed in Alabama long enough to see them.
