I agree with you on the billboard, CC. Saw it on the news last night. It's all about the money with some people, even if it means the destruction of a marriage.

Don't mean to laugh my3, but that is hysterical! Cutting their own hair(or each others) was one thing my kids never did. My daughter did give one of her Barbie dolls an interesting cut one time. One thing with boys and that it's summer is that you can give them a buzz cut. My son is getting his tonight. It keeps him cool while he plays baseball and makes it easy to check for ticks after he and Grandpa spend time hiking in the timber.

Had my last elementary school PTO meeting last night. It felt so weird. I have been fortunate enough to find people to take over all my little projects, so I am starting to hand off info folders and give mini lessons. They're all great people too, that I know will do a great job and keep the programs going for the long term. It's helping to make letting go a little easier. It was a bit hard this morning serving breakfast to staff and having several tell me how much I will be missed. I kept it together, but I know that last day of school is going to be a big Kleenex day!

Checkerboard pattern?!?! That's hysterical! I hope you took lots of pictures so you can torture him with them years from now.... :D

So, the big news on all the tvs at the gym today is a billboard in Chicago. It's been taken down "due to an invalid permit". A local law office posted this billboard..... The left 1/3 is a close up photo of an attractive, scantily clad woman (shown from the neck down) sitting on a bed. The right 1/3 is a close up of a very yummy male chest. In the middle it says, "Life's short. Get a divorce."

The firm's PR lady says it's a first ammendment right and not at all tasteless. Some say it's inappropriate for a city bidding to host the Olympics.

Whatever. I think it's sad that so many marriages do end in divorce and incredibly tactless for a law firm to encourage even more of them. But I'm a bit of a prude that way.....

CC glad he at least went to the shop for his haircut, darling 5.5 year decided he didn't like his. Well now he has 3 chunks of hair out of his head. UGH I swear I could have made a checkerboard pattern on his head. LOL

Hey, hey Cottonwood! Nice to see you.... :)

OMGh, Shorty got a hair cut today ~ his first one in over a year. He was going for the budding rock star look, figuring that if he was going to be a full blown rock star by the time he was 18 he'd better start on the hair now. Well, his hair is blonde, curly, thick, gorgeous.... and from behind he looks like a girl. I haven't seen his left eye since last Christmas. Hubby and I started calling him Cyclops. (He was going for a look I guess we just didn't understand....) He has sparkly sapphire blue eyes and I missed them very much. Wow wee. He came walking out of the salon looking clean cut and nearly two years older. Hubby couldn't even believe it when we got home. We've been staring at him all evening. I didn't realize how much I missed that face - and both of those eyes.... The best part is that it was his idea and not because his dad followed through on "holding him down and shaving him bald if he doesn't do something about that hair!"

Just popping my head in to say HI! Much like the rest I'm sure, I'm up to my neck in appreciation stuff... and whose idea was it to plan our spring carnival for the same week? Hope everybody is doing good, and i'll catch up to y'all next week.

That is a good friend, CC! I think I'd do better if I had someone to work out with me. Sometimes it's just too easy to blow it off. And hey, you need to balance the hard work with some "just for the pure pleasure of it" activities too.

I already know that if we ever move I will be taking chunks of many of my perennials with me, along with a rose bush I got as a gift a few years ago. That will be in the sales contract!! I like to share too. I have one color of iris that has found homes in 5 other gardens and the courtyard at school! It's bi-color and people just go nuts over it.

Hey, it's almost quitting time here. I have to go to the store and get the stuff to make a fruit salad for tomorrow and fruit pizza for Friday. See, I don't have enough going on in my life, so I agreed to cook for others. What was I thinking?

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
