My nieces do the breast cancer walk every mothers day. They are great kids. Did the less than 24 hours in state run up to NJ. Saw my buddy and my mom and stayed in the worst hotel ever. Hilton runs it and we were very disappointed...so much so we didn't pay for the night. Hubby had the boys write their "Top 10 things I love about mom". One of them said I was "as beautiful as a butterfly". Man I don't think I'll ever look at butterflies the same again.

I'll be sure to never drive behind you. That's a funny, funny story!
Went on my first ever 5k run/walk this morning. I mostly walked.... It was a beautiful coarse by the lake and the honeysuckle was in full bloom. The scent was glorious.
Maybe I'll drag hubby and Shorty out of bed early tomorrow. We can take coffee and donuts to the lake and then hit the honeysuckle lined walking trail!

I am a retired Army Officer. When I say I am going to depart home from our vacation on a solo parent 740 mile drive with four boys and two puppies at 0530 in the morning, we are gonna SP (start) at 0530 in the morning...and we did. When I say we are going to have two rest stops, one for breakfast and one for lunch so we can be home by dinner, that is what we are going to
do...and we did. When I tell my 3 year old who at 725 miles that we are NOT stopping for a bathroom break this close to home and that he can pee in a cup...he did. I am a retired Army Officer...NOT a retired Air Force Officer...an Air Force Officer would have known about the whole high velocity wind thing meeting a liquid thrown into it. If I had even remembered the old "You don't spit into the wind" song I'd have been okay...but when I emptied the cup at 70 miles an hour on interstate 95 and the troops in the last two rows started screaming "EWWWWWWWW", and my own arm became soaked with what is thankfully (and after immediate googling) a sterile solution...even I had reason to think that perhaps I should have stayed an Army Officer and not been so bold as to attempt this whole stay at home mom thing. Sometimes the reality of the two just do not compliment one another very well.
Uhhhhhh, noooooo...... Can't hardly wait to read it though!
Shorty is going to a sleep over tonight. Hubby wants to go out. Maybe we'll check out the new Nickolas Cage movie. Even if it's terrible, it's still two hours of watching Nick. Mmmmmmm
