I feel the need to get out in the garden. I looked at my strawberries last night and they are getting overrun with grass. I think I'm going to have to just dig up the whole bed and redo it. I might do a raised bed instead to make it so it's not so far to bend over to pick them. That freeze we had was really hard on them too. They didn't come back too well. Might get a couple shortcakes out of them, but won't have any to freeze. I need one of those hunky, young gardeners to do the sweaty work while I "supervise".

Yeah! Excellent point, LUV...

We're having an open house next weekend. I guess I'll get just a few pre-planted containers to spruce up the yard a bit. Then I'll pass them on to friends. I'm the worst about remembering to water stuff. Besides, I can't take them with me so I'd rather spend the money on things I can give away than leave them here to wither away.

The crepe myrtles are finally starting to get leaves on them so they don't look like dead trees in front of the house. They have to be pruned so severely each Spring that for about two or three months they look awful. It's worth it, though, when they regrow and start to bloom!

Beautiful sun-shiny day here! It's supposed to get up to 85 degrees.

Maybe I'll make bbq ribs for hubby tonight. I'm not a fan but he loves them. Of course I'll have the corn on the cob.

Shorty decided on Staples gift cards for his teachers. They have Easy Buttons there so he's giving each of them a gift card and their very own easy button. Fun.

My neighbor had about 10 landscapers descend on her property yesterday. It was a flurry of activity for about 12 straight hours. Today she has a gorgeous yard. Flowers are everywhere. I'm a little envious. Until I think about how much it must've cost!

By the way - I wish I was still officially on PTO and doing TA this week. MUCH more fun than the who-ha's I dealt with all week that I mentioned above.

Hooray to all of you!!! I picture all of your teachers, staff with huge smiles.:D
Everyone here has such great and beautiful ideas! Your luncheons, brunches, whatever they may be, will be wonderful.
