If anyone is interested, there was a news piece on the local CBS affiliate today. It is viewable through www.cbs47.tv/mediacenter/?videoID=33994
The story is entitled "Valley Fundraising Flap."
So how confident is everyone that GL is not going to go under as well in the next 6-12 months? Has anybody gotten any money back from Scrip Advantage during the month of November?
I've been reading this forum since last week when my BO status phone call to SA held me for 1 hr,then the next day I met up with their 'recording'. That sent up the red flags, and I did a Google search and found this forum. Lots of helpful info here, and unfortunately, we are all in the same (sinking) boat. Although, some are into them a little deeper than others. I'm awaiting my first order from GL Scrip Center. They really are on the ball, and must be picking up many of SA customers. I certainly hope SA will be prosecuted fully, what they are doing is SO wrong!

Has everyone gotten the blanket letter sent via e mail to schools? I have not gotten this nor have other schools in our area. Why are some schools getting it and not others? This morning they only had a voice mail stating check the website to place an order (yeah right!) or check back order status. As of this evening, the website changed and you now can actually leave a message at SA Central (as if this would really matter)
A delay tactic? Trying to save face? But what's the point?
I'm switching to GL Scrip, spoke to the rep, got references and sign me up already.
This is already a lot of work for a volunteer, let alone dealing with all of the BS from Scrip Advantage!
What a great forum. So many of you have done exactly as I have done to recover $ owed from Scrip Advantage. I too had a 45 minute wait on the phone before I reached a live voice. They certainly are guilty of false advertising and this word needs to get out to all charitable organizations who may fall prey to their claims! I was delighted to see that enough complaints had reached the BBB and that there was an accurate report now available to all. Unfortunately, I did not check the BBB before we associated with Scrip (dis)Advantage. We went online looking for a new company after NSC's troubles began. I would contend that SA's claims on their website and on their phone message are truly false advertising and they should be charged with this. We are also contemplating the route of Small Claims Court. While some of you cannot use this as your amounts exceed the limitations of such, it does seem to be an inexpensive way to appeal judicially. I am copying all of your remarks and will add them to my file as evidence against this company. Thank you for the advice to contact local police agencies. I hadn't thought of that. But, of course keeping what isn't rightfully yours is theft!
Got a hold of someone via email today at SA (my rep got layed off and this rep had another school in the area.) We do agree anout how much I am owed (if that will ever mean anything.) They will no longer do exchanges (bummer, because I could have used some of what they have left) so I have cancelled my orders and hope for the best.
