I know this message board is aged - however somehow I came across this from LinkedIn - yes long trail to get me here.

Here is the issue with this scrip company - the turn over for the people taking care of each scrip program - well it changes either every year or every fews years.

PLEASE - read this a couple of times if you don't get it the first -

Please research Scrip Advantage and SCRIP PLUS - the SAME EXACT thing happened with SCRIP PLUS in 1998. If I remember correctly the same brothers owned and operated that company as well. It is the same story - almost to the T - I am sure they have a few different employees.

If there is ever a scrip company that forms again in Fresno they need to be shut down - this will happen again. For some reason with Scrip Plus the lender cut off funding in an instant as well. The employees were escorted out of the building and anyone that had money or expected orders - lost out. If the Coyle borhters are involved in any Scrip venture - make sure that each non-profit, school what have you knows that each school is NOT to do business with them - this will continue happening.

I, too, am a Scrip Coordinator for a small Christian School that was taken by SA for $17,000. I switched to GL in November, and they're awesome. I only learned about this message board today. Does anyone have any updated info on SA since the May 30th post?

Scrip Advantage Assets Foreclosed
FRESNO, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Scrip Advantage, Inc. (SAI), a publicly-traded California corporation that previously announced (April 6, 2006) that it was temporarily ceasing operations, today announced that the secured creditors have exercised their legal rights and foreclosed on the operating assets of the company.

The remaining assets of the company are a series of potentially valuable security claims related to unfunded subscription agreements. The board of directors negotiated funding from the secured creditors for legal counsel to research the value of these claims. SAI is now pursuing those claims for the benefit of the company by retaining a respected attorney experienced in such cases. The evaluation has begun and SAI will report back to the creditors and shareholders as the case progresses.
