My school is also a victim of the SA saga! Has anyone out there actually started legal action against them yet? If so, can you give me some guidance or suggestions on how to start the process? Is there a certain amount of time we have to wait until we can begin the process? Will the DA reveal any information in regards to their investigation?
I also contacted AIM to see if we would be covered if we didn't receive our money back. I was surprised that they had no idea of the problem and that I was the first one to call. Nevertheless, they are looking into it and will get back to me once they have an answer.
I was able to save one school from falling victim. They were going to submit their first order for the year on Monday!!
Just wanted to give a heads up to all of you that are talking about Scrip Advantage and not being able to travel to their office to meet face to face...there doors are all locked. I work in the same office complex as them...just a few doors down. Can't see if they're actually in the office or not, due to the windows being tinted. But don't waste your gas coming over here. Sorry to hear about everyone's misfortune with this matter. Scrip Advantage is available at my niece's school, as well. How unfortunate for this company to do this to our children and their schools.
It worked on my computer. Basically, the news reporter went to Scrip Advantage office and talked to angry parents and then interviewed Bob Coyle (President). He said that they cannot offer refunds or scrip cards at this point. Although he is trying to resolve this, he doesnt know when he will be able to.
They also mentioned that the District Attny office has received a ton of complaints and is currently investigating.
I'm not sure how we were lucky enough to receive our refund, but we did receive it in late October.
