We have had a lot of problems with Scrip Advantage this year as well. I am hitting the ground running with Great Lake Scrip next week (I priority mailed in my application) and will most likely cancel all my old (from Sept 4) back orders and reorder them from Great Lakes Scrip.
I liked Scrip Advantages cutoff time better as we are an hour later - we know have to be 2 hours earlier with Great Lakes Scrip - but if I get most of my stuff I will be very happy as will my customers.
I can say that we are having a terrible time with ScripAdvantage. We have used them without incident for 2 years and suddenly we cannot get ANYTHING we order. They have taken money out of our account as part of a purchase made in August and we have yet to get our stuff. Their website, although improving, has been useless and their customer service people are nice, but unhelpful. They simply have no ETA on basic stuff we are ordering and when it might arrive. Honestly, I am looking for a second vendor and each time I approach one they seem to guess that I must be with ScripAdvantage because so many others like me are having this issue. I will look at Great Plains if the service is as good as you say.
Never dealt with Scrip Advantage, but switched to Great Lakes this year, and LOVE them. They are wonderful on all levels. Extremely minimal backorders (I'd say only 2 b/o incidents since September), great customer service, no mistakes. You're making a good decision going with Great Lakes.
I can see from the posts that there is a lot going on in the world of scrip fundraising. We are trying to raise money for our marching band which has been chosen to go to the Rose Bowl next year. The band boosters have been running a scrip program for a number of years with Fundability (who went bankrupt) and now Scrip Advantage. We had lots of problems with SA at Christmas and have generated a lot of bad PR for the program. We are now switching to Great Lakes, who seem to have a great reputation based on forum posts. Has anyone else had a bad experience with SA and good ones with GL? It would do our chairs good to see in print that they have made the right decision. Thanks!
