I have contacted them and the best they offered is to start recalling the school board members.I don't think the Dept of Ed gets involved .I don't think there is any sort of group that watches out for parents and students either here in MICH.
Parents don't stand up because they are afraid it'll come back on their kid and we are repeatedly told they[teahers]can't be moved or removed due to"unions "etc
Unless you know some where specific to contact;i have called student issues and one other place there in Lansing.
Have your information documented, so you can report in an orderly, concise fashion what the problems are, how the chain of command has been unresponsive, etc. Hope that you are able to get things turned around!

Thanks for the advice...I have considered the soc.services[they don't investigate teachers, I found out]sheriff,
and the little local paper here.
My son [fortuatly or unfortunatly} didn't hear the story directly.Although I have cross referenced it against another credible adult who was told the same things by a baby sitter they used to have,and this same mom's son remembers the story but with a different object!!!
Plus this teacher's car is seen late at night at the school when there is no school function .
She was [is]using a different name than is listed on her teaching certificate and I had to demand that from the district offices.I am going to peek in the personnel files of the pricipal{questioning leadership] and the music teachers[questioning all kinds of other stuff!]
These are good ,credible families and they are so tired of it they move[ I might be one of them].
Laugh out loud @ the gov. thing.....
If the music teacher is telling obscene stories & nothing is being done...go to the police, social services... Talk to your congressmen,the attorney general, the governor (lets hope she's not re-elected) I know the education system in Michigan s***ks because of all the cuts but someone has to listen to you. Rally the parents, go to the news, the papers... Good luck!
Have called our dept of Ed.They have nothing in place.They've told me we can start procedings to recall our school board. Not much help.....
I will take my son out tomorrow but will not leave the grounds of school.I think more parents need to make a stink or it will go nowhere.they brush off one person at a time and still don't act.
