You know in the process of redecorating my daughter's room, we found MANY things that she could do without. Her room and closet look so much nicer now. I have to hit my son's room now. Doing it at some point next week when he is not home will be the ideal time. I do need to get him a new book shelf too.
I passed on Paris and worked in the basement instead. She makes me ill.
One would think you'd be able to find something that interests you in a library. I must have been in a mood yesterday ~ absolutely nothing looked good. My kids on the other hand each had a load of books that are now cluttering up my counters.
Luv - I find that most of the clutter around our house is unwanted items. As I clean I start tossing things away. Most of the time the kids never realize something is gone and when they do see their rooms are awefully clean (and they had no part in the transformation) they begin get upset but can never remember what they are exactly missing. I do have to get to our box of school projects that came home. Typically I save a few really cute / special items for their scrapbooks I keep prmosing myself I will begin.
I think I am going to hit the local book store this afternoon. There has to be something in there for me.
Anyone watch Paris on Larry King last night? When will it end.

Silly string fights-what a great idea!! I'll bet he loves that! I'm kind of missing the days of toys for gifts. She wanted her room redecorated, so for the last month we have been collecting bedding, curtains, and fabric. Last week I started putting it together. We actually still have to make some throw pillows for the bed and a headboard, but it's together enough to see what the end result is. It's very girly and very sparkly. She's happy, so it's all good! I just ordered some flowers to be delivered to her too. Thought that would thrill her.
Hey on a roll--good to see you!!!! Luv--today is my 7 year olds birthday too. We start the day with silly string fights and presents and end with family cake--he was so happy today to see his gifts of transformers DS games etc and then he went to "cybercamp" and his brothers played all morning...woo hoo...good since we have to stay in the house to await arrival of a delivery...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! d
All I can say is "Thank goodness this is my last work day this week!" Today my daughter turns 13, so we have a family party tonight and then she is having friends tomorrow night. Luckily I have all next week off to recuperate! I'm thinking of using the time to declutter my house. I've been looking at each room and kind of mentally planning what to remove accessory-wise. I'm tired of doing so much dusting. I'm going to hit the furniture and antique stores too and see if I can replace my coffee, sofa, and side tables.
You know I've never gotten hooked on the shiny plant leaf thing. I just mist mine each week and wipe them off if they look too dusty. Well, except for my ficus tree, which I haul outside twice a year and hose off then let dry in the sun.

Hi everyone! Popping in...don't know about the mayonnaise on plants but I did use it in my hair as a teen - great but horribly messy conditioner - lol!
Right now I'm reading "One More Day" by Mitch Albom. So far, so good, a typical Albom book.
