A little backround for ya:
Page Two started as a virtual bar- a place to go to relax and let out the stress from the day - namely from our "involvements in our school's PTA/PTO/HSA/ETC.." and talk good naturedly, be creative, have a virtual drink and not get hung over. All in fun! And boy has it been fun! No one anticipated getting to page two even... and that is how the name came to be: "Page Two". Heck we are up to page 15 and close to 500 posts (have not checked recently). With the escalating number of posts and pages, the boss man -Tim- was getting concerned that this thread was getting out of hand a bit and too large. We pleaded and cried and sobbed for him not to close us down, so the boss compromised and let us stay but he gets to remove pages in the middle to keep the thread manageable - Feel free to step in Tim if I am not being eloquent enough. Anywhoo.... we invite anyone to stop by the bar, you might be asked to wash up a few glasses or sweep the floor now and then, but heck we all help out in Page Two!
...backhoed crashes through the front door and looks around eager to see some of the old familiar faces... she spys peanut shells all over the floor and a plaque on the wall made of peanut figures that says "We're all nuts here" the jukebox is playing B-52's again... "Hey! I'm back everyone! THIS ROUNDS ON ME! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE

Hey Luv... here's some sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies! I stirred them up by hand totally I am so upset! Our school (charter) tried to apply for a charter with the state (something totaly new!) and to our surprise the school district did everything in it's power to....muck? it up? yeah...something like that! The district is doing everything it can to make this process as painful as possible and winning. THey even published in the paper their grievance. Fortunatly, I just bake and my kids are exstatic!
You know how we all wonder how we can get support from our Admin? How do you show them that WE care??
do we still have those frosted glasses in the freezer?? I'll tap if I can find the glasses!
Tim.
Before you ax us (I hope you decide not to)or decide to downsize the page please give warning so that I can save it to my computer for any newcomers that we have that would like to know how we started or for my own amusement cause I really don't think you could find a place like page two in the real world. Thanks
Edumacate me, I'd love the short version. I tried to scroll back and figure it out... but it be too long.
What's the admission price, an introduction and offer to buy a round?
Luv, I'll give you hug and I'll make some homemade vanilla ice cream to go with the pie. I definately understand. Our President decided to resign about 3 weeks ago and she hasn't brought back the PTO items in her posession including a filing cabinet and all the Box Tops that have been collected since November. She also was supposed to have been working on donations for our carnival since July, and has these supplies as well, and hasn't done it. And now I'm told the things she said she bought for the Box Tops Store were never brought in-Valentine's Day stuff-and the items listed on the receipt show remarkable similarity to items her daughter handed out in Valentine's gift bags to her class. I hate the feeling I get around this time of year-for the last 4 years-that things that should have been set in motion will have to wait til next year, again!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Helloooooooooo....anybody here? I need a cold beer and a warm hug! I'm depressed over the negative attitudes of some of the parents at our school, and how utterly uncaring they are.
I'll be in the kitchen baking to relieve my stress. Apple pie will be coming right up!
Strawberries??? I just got some from Plant City (Fl). Of course the kids have raided them and there's not much left to do anything with other than snacking.
It's going to rain ALL day here, the kids are on the war path and I'm up to my eyeballs in Girl Scout cookies. I'm trying to get the troop's mothers to pick them up, but with the rain no one wants to leave their house.
Well, tomorrow is another day and the start of a new week
