Not sure what I need but came close to walking away the other afternoon. I called an Exec mtg to go over expenses for a upcoming event. The tresurer starts getting mad thinking we were going to vote on stuff. No one could get it into her head we were just talking. So she begins to compair our conversaton to the a former board that just did as they pleased (a board whom I should be in theropy or Dr. Phil show over) and she offended so much I looked her in the eye and said, "Keep talking and my bag will be in your lap with me walking out the door." The VP goes into a panic as well as another board member and reminds her we are just talking. The VP grabs my arm (you'll love this) and says really loud a motion to approve said bill when it comes. We moved on and she (tresurer) did it again! We purchase ooops undies for the clinic, again a grumble about money.

Maybe it's the snow or we didn't have any girl scout cookies to munch on....There is just so much to do....

Oh yeah, the hotel plan may have gotten a monkey wrench thrown in it. My daughter got invited to play with the symphony that weekend. Guess we'll be back to our original stay at home plan.

Shawn, send some chili this way. It's cold and gray here today and that would be a perfect lunch. Wish I would have seen this before I came into work, could have thrown everything in the crockpot!

I'm waiting for the NCAA basketball tourney pool. I always do two sheets. One with the likely winner( I hate it when I have to write Duke), and one with my treasured Illini.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

That's the one, Shawn.
It's funny how songs get in our heads. My youngest doesn't tell me it's Dora on tv, he says it's D-d-d-dora, like the song.
I prefer fantasy NASCAR and cold pizza. Though nothing beats warm beer, cold hot dogs, and the smell of burning rubber at the track!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
