Enjoy that child-free break when it comes! That's why I work part-time. It gets me out of the house and in contact with the outside world-keeps me sane.

My husband's thing about the walls is inherited from his father. I remember several years ago my mother-in-law did a collage arrangement in her kitchen and when my father-in-law complained about all the nail holes, she told him maybe his second wife would share his desire to not hang things on the walls. I laughed hysterically!

My husband has promised to take all 5 kids camping for a weekend this summer. I can't wait. Sometimes I take my 4 yr. old to daycare just for a break. I call it my sanity break.
As for gardening, I have a black thumb. My husband likes a green lawn with no toys left laying around. He's the type who will mow the grass without checking to see if all toys are picked up. Yikes!!!!
My husband doesn't like photos all over the walls either. But I do. I have my screensaver set for my pictures slide show.

You gotta take the time when you can get it! Sometimes having a day off without the kids around is even better.

If you don't get enough of the landscaping at your house, I need some help at mine. I have some hydrangea bushes that have grown so large that I need to move two of my azaleas before they get smothered. I haven't broken the news to my hubby yet, but I'm planning on creating a new bed area to put them in-more of his precious emerald green lawn will disappear. He thinks you should just have grass and maybe one or two trees. He also thinks you shouldn't have anything hanging on the walls in the house. It's a retentive engineer thing.

Slim to not at all. This is the weekend that is actually bigger than the Thanksgiving Day after sale! NOT KIDDING!
He does have time off coming at the end of May (you know right before school gets out...dummy) SO I'm planning some quality time with him doing what he loves the most....landscaping!!!

I sooooo DO NOT miss retail, especially retail management. I feel for you. What would be the chances of your literally kidnapping him and taking him on that vacation?

I'll be there soon. Our charter school is no longer with the school district and a state charter school agency is our chartering partner...yeah, the wording is still working through. In dollars and cents, this means the school district was charging us 5% of our state funding AND charging us for every little service your school (as a regular public school) is offered through the district. THere is other stuff too but in a nutshell, there's so much rebuilding and restructure that I feel like I need to help.

You know Luv, I think it's when he told me HE felt neglected I took a step back and said a few things I can't post! He hates when I joke with his friends about being a single parent or retail widow, the truth does hurt!

He even has to work Father's Day weekend, I'm planning a vacation....see how this one floats!

now this curling up on the couch thing....how does that work?? HA!
