Monday night was not only crazy but we were rushed by the School Board so they could hold their meeting. I forgot to thank the treasurer. I feel about 1 inch tall and terrible but she won't accept my apology but has chosen to remind me how I did things half- :D and as the President I should have done this and that. Not disagreeing there, should have said hang on let us finish but you know, I came pepaired.

Where is that high road when your suppose to take it ;) !

Last nights Appr. dinner was interesting, too. She sat across from my husband and he kept asking her plans for the weekend, wonder how much this and that was....you know, every topic from his was about money! NO that wasn't uncomfortable!

I've added up my receipts (I keep a copy) and I have over $500 for the last three+ months. And SHE feels unappreciated.......

Did I mention on top of all this we lost a parent volunteer yesterday. Cancer, wonderful man. Keep trying to think what he would do.

Treasurer is the one job I wouldn't take. Anything (anything) but that!

Renee S - Those 'sniper' members drive me crazy! I'm all for feedback and constructive criticism from folks but, sheesh...... My new saying this year was "Just because someone doesn't want my job doesn't mean they don't think they could do it better."

My treasurer has been hard to get a hold of lately.

What do you think about those people that show up to one meeting, giving their input and what not and questioning everything your group does then never show up again?

Drives me nuts.

Hey luv, I also wanted under cabinet lighting so I bought some tap lights! They were a little tricky to mount but I have been really happy with them!
Our "new" home is now six years old and I think I would still go with new construction. I like the idea of picking out carpet etc and not worry aobut the issues Crew Chief dealing with (OH NO he did not rip the wallpaper! I lost a chuck out of my kitchen floor to the new fridge being installed! ). The best thing we did was to pay for the hardwood flooring ourself and have the builder install it. Why? Well, their guys left the windows open and yes my friends it rained two inches that night!! $3000 of beautiful honey oak flooring with 2 inches of water standing......my NEW floor set us back three weeks and is looks so much nicer!

Anyway, volunteer appreciation dinner tonight. My VP just called to get the number to our treasurer to see if she could bring the checkbook tonight. Not a bad idea since my hubby will be with me and ladies.....oh this is either going to be funny or really bad...bad.

Well see, it's all been a good thing then. Now you won't have to spend as much time looking at color swatches and wallpaper samples for the next house!

After building our house and as I have been decorating this past two years, I have found things I would definitely do again and others I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. I've even thought of some things I would add that I can't now-like undercabinet lighting in my kitchen and two more feet to my breakfast area.

I'd say that I'd do it in the next house, but I swore to my husband the day we moved in that I was not moving again. Of course as time has passed and the business changes alter work situations I may not have a choice.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Well, the plasterer made the kitchen ceiling beautiful again. Whew....

The carpet guys ripped the (new!) dining room wallpaper. Lucky for me that I have an extra roll laying around.

By the end of today all workers should be done and OUT of my house so I can get on with the business of selling the place.

Funny, though. Now that all of the work is done I actually love the house. At least I know what colors I'll want to use in the new one!
