My prize?

How about a lifetime supply of industrial strength antibacterial soap. This kid can get into the most "interesting" things.

I have to marvel at the fact that he knew what to do. Most kids and a good portion of the adults would just stand there and watch it run over or go running in panic.

You know CrewChief your cat may have more political savvy than some humans. Could it punch out the chads with it's claws?

My cat's a critic....

I have piles and piles of books around the house. We're all voracious readers. As I'm cleaning out the bookshelves in the front room, I notice that the books My Life by Bill Clinton and Living History by Hillary Rodham Clinton have been given a, um, smelly thumbs down by my cat!

The John McCain book is miraculously clean. I always knew I loved that cat!!!!

And even though you know it's clean water, you still think toilet water!

Okay, I now have a story, but if anyone is eating you'd better put down the fork.

A couple of weeks ago my 10 year old son used the toilet and it started to overflow when he flushed. He didn't call me, just fixed it himself then told me what he had done. When I asked him what he had done with the plunger when he was through, he told me he didn't know where the plunger was and had used his hand! After I scrubbed him from elbow to finger tips with antibacterial soap, I made sure he knew where the plunger was and how to use it! I can laugh now...

One time we were having toilet problems. The hose on the inside of the tank would come loose so it wouldn't fill right. Well, I forgot to turn the water off before I took off the lid to the tank and well, That little hose can really make the water fly all over. Ugh!!

You know I did get some energy. I got some caffeine running through my veins and the sun came out so I finally perked up. I got into to a project here at work and got a lot done. Then I got a call from my mom that my daughter's fever was up to almost 105 and wouldn't come down, so I headed home early to work on that problem. She's better this morning, but still home with Grandma. I even cooked a big dinner, baked cookies, and got some housework done!

Oh mykids, our Treasurer seems to never have a full report for the meetings. She acts like she just forgot she had to do that. How can you forget the ONLY thing you need to do for the meeting?!

As for water worries, early one morning last summer I turned on my soaker hose system that runs through the beds around the house and forgot to turn it off before I left for work. I remembered about 4 hours later. Of course, of the two neighbors who are ALWAYS home, neither one was home then. I kept envisioning the basement being flooded. Luckily when I got home the only problem was the sump pump was running almost continuously. My husband never found out because it got all drained and the sump pump stopped before he got home. Thank goodness we don't have metered water!
