Oh my gosh, Crew Chief-Peoria, IL? I'm only about 1 1/2 hours from there in lovely Southeast Iowa! You're moving from Illinois to Alabama? We've had three sets of friends who moved from here to Tennessee-big change in weather and culture.
Great news on your house selling so fast. That doesn't always happen in this Midwest economy.

Whew! I had a crazy weekend. If six days can be a weekend.....
I'll take the Electric Lemonade and the wading pool!
Thursday - to Indianapolis, IN to pick up my 'Cuda.
Friday - to Bowling Green, KY to race. And, found out my house sold after just 24 hours on the market - full price offer w/no contingencies!
Saturday - busted the tranny and had to lay on 100 degree blacktop to remove it. The jack stands melted into the blacktop! Had to push a 3500lb car into the trailer (up hill, of course!)
Sunday - To Huntsville, AL to find a house.
Monday - More house hunting. Found my perfect house but the seller wouldn't leave to let me really nose around. Made offer on house anyway - because it's perfect. Drove to Nashville - arrived at midnight.
Tuesday - Finally home to Peoria, IL at 4:30pm. Still waiting to hear if offer was accepted. Ready to jump on plan B if necessary.
Shawn, make mine a double!!! And extra ice in the wading pool please.....

Our Memorial Day weekend felt more like the 4th of July. We got in the mid-90s both Sunday and Monday and were in the upper 80s before that. Everything I had planned to get done at home went right down the drain because it was too hot to move plants or paint. We're all praying for rain too-way too dry here in my part of Iowa.
How about throwing some ice cubes in that wading pool?
i know how you feel renee s! right now my thermometer reads 89 degrees! ugh! we haven't had weather like this since before last year. it's suppose to rain tommorrow and then get back to normal. thank goodness!(pittsburgh)
