My kids' last day was 2 weeks ago. We are offically on summer schedule-get up around 9 and don't go to bed before 11. With all their evening baseball games, we have to get them accustomed to staying up late.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Shawn, what are you doing up at 4:48am? I don't think I've ever even seen that time of day before.

I just got the funnest new toy. My son loves the XMods (little RC cars) from Radio Shack. I chose the '67 Pontiac Firebird. It's so much fun! It makes me feel like a kid again. I love the first day of summer break!!!!

We have a dog, and 4 guinea pigs, and 3 hamsters, I sure hope he doesn't want anymore animals! I don't take care of the dog or the hamsters but I do take care of my 2 guinea pigs, I actually don't mind them. My husband takes out the trash or he doesn't get a lunch to take to work. We have a master list of responsibilities and no one gets an allowance unless their chores are done and signed for. I listen to myself say that and don't wonder why people tell me I am so organized that I make them crazy.

Our last day of school was yesterday so I went today to clean out the lost and found. Five, eight foot tables FULL of _ _ _ _ :D !!!! I put on my tastmaster hat ;)and went to work. It's so amazing how much you don't get done with teachers farewells and see ys in the fall. I got through 2 1/2 tables only to have a parent come in and undo EVERYTHING I did in three hours  .
The art teacher came by and said "Let's go to lunch! You look like you need outta here as much as I do!" She was so right! That was the best hour of our day and to my shock that mom put everything back! I think someone said something to her....

Luv, so where is everything and I'll get those trees for ya. I'm feeln' mighty icky right now anyway so before I climb into a really hot shower, I'll spray the trees. no problem
