We're enjoying a glorious Indian Summer here in Central Illinois - perfect weather for Shorty's field trip today. His entire freshman class went to a boyscout camp to use the team building course. I hope he loves it. And I hope he doesn't fall and break something. He's testing for his black belt Saturday.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Volunteermom, that is just too funny!!! In the numerous years we've coached and watched our son's baseball teams I've seen many a child doing the "pee-pee" dance on the field, never thought of how that need could affect your pitching!
Brought back memories of my son playing kid pitch a couple summers ago. We coached his team and his was one of our two pitchers. Hubby always complained that when he pitched, he never had a nice wide step when he pitched. The other boy did. One night, it was pick the leg up, SMALL step forward as he released the ball. Hubby looked at me and asked what he was doing... I had no clue. Finally, they came off the field and son bee lined it for the restroom. Came back and dad cornered him and reminded him to widen his step/stance, what ever it called. Anyway, son looks at dad and says "I couldn't do cause I had to poop. Do you know how hard it is to pitch when you have to poop and not have an accident??" (especially in white ball pants) lol!!
This summer this same son, now 13 found that he loves to run. He ran every day once or twice a day. One day he walked through the door and the look on his face told the story that he obviously didn't have a good run. I asked what was the matter as he headed for the back of the house. Without stopping he said "Can't run when you have to poop..I had walk the rest of the way back..ruined a perfectly good run."
Hey Luv--I know which post you mean, I still can't read that one without tearing up. RE: the money--It's amazing how many germs are out there....gross actually.
