CC- one day, do NOTHING, no dressing, no cleaning, no cooking, no shopping, no putting toys and books away,no helping with homework, no nothing, and when hubby comes home and says, what did you do all day? then he will know that when yuo are normally doing NOTHING you are really doing SOMETHNG.
You are all making me realize how lucky I am with my kids and their birthdays. My daughter has a summer birthday, so invites get sent to friend's homes and there isn't the issue of talking about it at school and hurting feelings. My son isn't big on the birthday party thing. He likes having one or two friends come over and stay the night.
Aaah, motivation. Don't have any today. It's gray and supposed to start snowing and my motivation went away with the sunshine. I did make the mistake of picking a bag of Dove chocolate hearts at Target this morning. Somebody take these things and hide them please!
Oh yeah, and all last week and this week, the school's morning announcement email message has included in bold and bright red lettering that "no valentine deliveries will be accepted at the school". Do parents really send valentine things to their kids at school? I can see how something like that started and then snowballed into a huge mess for the school to deal with!

I have my gym clothes on but haven't made it to the gym yet. That's real progress for a monday morning. If I even make it to the gym, I'll consider it a successful day!
Hubby is at home this morning. He's on a conference call so no noise please..... So, I put a load in the washing machine and started it up. Sheesh. I love the man, but it throws off my whole routine when he stays home. Well, OK, I have no routine, but I have to fake it while he's around or I'll get the dreaded "What do you do all day?" question.
Yeah, goodie bags are out of control. A superball in the likeness of a basketball is fun. A real basketball? Crazy!

Oh ~ so it's you CC we need to take out back and have a discussion about the 'goodie bag'! The little things like pencils, crayons etc are great IMHO but when the party is a basketball theme and the parents of the bday kid give out full size basketballs as part of the goodie bag IMHO it has got out of hand.
It's definately Monday here.
I am motivated. I am motivated. I am motivated.
I wonder how many times I need to repeat that before I begin to actually feel motivated?!
