Okay--I do my part, I feed em, bath em and get them ready for school and now they call a snow day WHEN THERE IS NO SNOW on the ground. I mean what the heck. There may be snow in the forecast but even if it starts at 12 it won't amount to anything by 1 and that's a half day....that's it...next full day of school their all getting chocolate for breakfast.

Did I mention my favorite party of all time was the Ice Cream Theme? We made ice cream cone invitations with the message on the cone and hung them on peoples doorknobs since they couldn't be mailed. The cake was shaped like a giant ice cream cone and we had a giant banana split out of a trough. I gave out those ice cream cones that are like guns and the ice cream shoots off but is attached to a string so it doesn't go too far.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

CC- I was going back through posts and laughed at your one about deliveries. Our school has gotten so tired of it, the bus drivers don't want them on board, so the office will call parents when a delivery comes and remind them of the no deliveries at school rule and tell them the item they sent is in the office waiting for the parent to pick it up and it will not go home with the child. Not That most of the kids could carry those huge things home with all their school stuff and other kids bugging them.

We had a meeting tonight. All went well. Does anyone know a company that donates bikes? It's always something... :) We have started our fundraiser planning for next year. I'm hoping our principal will be happier when she has a chance to get things set up her way instead of being dropped into someone else's mess. It seems I have been roped into another year of PTO servitude and I'm hoping I can get my spirits up to take it on. By the way, we are getting ice right now and snow for the next day or so, won't that be fun.

I'm with b&c - the prices should be the same for everyone. I guess paid members should get something in return but it should be subtle and more in line with the mere $5 or so that they pay.
