LOL Damn, guess it wasn't me! Seemed like everybody and their brother was trying to claim 'dad' on that poor child... and for all the wrong reasons. Maybe now (yeah, right) we'll hear no more of this. This is case and point of why I hate celebrities.. not the actual people, but how we (society) put them on a pedestal.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
Silver, you are too funny!! I did sleep good last night and here I thought it was just because I'd spent so much time outdoors in the cold. Now I find out it must have been my sixth sense that all was right with the world because we knew who Dannielynn's father is! I didn't see it on the news until this morning when I was reading the scroll at the bottom of the tv while blowdrying my hair. The whole Anna Nicole thing was like a circus freak show with that poor baby stuck in the middle of it all. I was so sick of hearing about it, I'd gotten to the point where I was turning off the tv and radio at the mere mention of her name.
Weather is awful here too. At least we are far enough south we're not getting snow. It's just rainy and cold.
Mornin' all! I 'm not sure about the rest of you but I sure did sleep a lot better now that I know who Dannilynn's (sp) father is!
I see Imus is loosing quite a few of his sponsers while he is suspended for a few weeks ... wonderful move by the sponsers IMHO.
Weather is horrible today. Please tell me this is the last of it so we can get on with spring already.
Happy BDay Shawn ~ 40 is quite an accomplishment. Now that you are in your 41st year of life any new goals?

d, I completely understand the dentist thing. My dad was never a promoter of dental care and I have the cavities and crowns to prove it. As an adult I decided to become more diligent and we're doing that with the kids too. While the dentist's office may not be their favorite place to go, they just accept it as part of keeping themselves healthy. Good for you for shifting the tide in your family!
Okay, I'm exhausted and still cold from the 4 hour track meet. It poured and the wind blew so hard it kept sucking the umbrellas inside out(my arm hurts from holding on tight for all that time). Those poor little skinny girls were just shivering like crazy. When we got our daughter home I put her in a hot shower and heated up the Bed Buddy(one of those rice filled heating pads) and put it in her bed. I can't wait for her to get home today and tell me how many people didn't even make it to school today.
Happy 40 Shawn--isn't 40 the new 12?
ALL DAY at the dentist today--first was 10 am for ortho and then 2:30 for mom and baby cleaning....that was about an hour away so we left at 9 and got home at 4:15 and then soccer practice and play practice for the church play. The boys were terrific - went to the mall for a couple of hours and then they sat there playing game boys whilst everyone had their teeth done. I have TONS of work to do...(haven't been to the dentists since I've started getting pregnant 10 years ago). Plaque down to my you know where and next time they have to novicane me to get the deep stuff...LORD I have such trauma with the d word but I vowed that it would stop with me -- and it has. The little one gets in the chair like a champ for his cleanings and they have no fear whatsoever of the dentist. Phew---another mountain hilly billy family thing that has stopped with my generation. Family was a poor group fo coal miners and teeth were something that were supposed to fall out...but that is all done now.
Yes--Imus -- what a shame to trash folks with heart when our young people need that type of example to hold high. Shock Jock is one thing -- but to blast one of the top 2 teams in the nation...well wouldn't have even been CLOSE to happening if it was the men's team. The tri state area needs a hero sports team at the collegiate level and RU is shaping up to be that (even had the Empire State building lit in Scarlet for the ladies on NCAA Championship night). I know they will walk through this with grace but of course this stuff will happen again...it makes the news after all!
