page two......

Hang in Ohio---from what I hear there is life after PTO...just not sure what it looks like. You'll have to keep us posted. My 6 year old asked me the other day "Mom...do girls really like country boys" in his little southern drawl. This is the little guy that only had girls at his last birthday party....I'm in trouble.
Gotta take #2 to the doc today--he's pulled on his cuticle and gotten it all infected and swollen...it is awful looking. We've been trying to use antibacterial soak etc to clean it up but no good. Time for the big guns and I want to get him on an antibiotic. Yesterday dad stayed home and they all went fishing. No fish -- and 10 minutes after they were home they were bored. Dad gets so upset that even though we do much for them they still fuss when they have something they have to do (ie pick up the sticks in the yard)...tried to explain they don't have that perspective and it is children's nature to not want to do that kind of chore stuff....ah well...I had a bit of a day off and it was nice.
I made Quinoa yesterday (pronounced keenwa)--it's a South American high protein grain that you cook in water. Fixed it up with some lemon soaked red onion, cukes, and celery and some mint. It was very good and each little grain sort of pops in your mouth. I liked it (as did two of my guys) but unfortunately I've got enough to feed a small army...wait--I have one of those.
Happy Saturday folks

I agree with your Hubby- mainly got sick of the Tim and Faith airplay and their affection everywhere -- get a room !!!! (judging by how many of their kids are singing on the album - they did :o ) and their fake personalities (I'm the same person - so I'll write a song jst to prove $$$ and fame havent changed me ---PUUHLEEEZE)

hehe

Happier topics -- Sarah Fisher, Danika Patrick and some smoking hot woman from S America gonna try to qualify for the Indy 500 (and AJ Foyt is trying to get Little Al back to Indy) -now if they'd put real racecars back at Indy -Id go again

3 more days of Spriing break

There's something about Last Dollar that really appeals to the pre-school set. My friend's daughter LOVES it. I like how the little girls sing with their daddy at the end of the song. Instead of saying "You've given me..." one of them says "You're giving me the most beautiful set of wings." Just that subtle little difference and the whole new meaning it gives tugs at my heart!

Hubby hates the song. He calls it the "Don't Worry, Be Happy" song for this generation. Yeah, except Tim McGraw is way hotter than Bobby McFarin!!! Not even in the same league.....

Well I am having withdraws already LOL--thinking oh what if this happens and what if this doesn't go right--Last night I did not accept the treasurer position again for the PTO--I have done it for 5 years and really felt it was time for someone else to take it on for awhile. I need to spend more time at home with my little guy before he starts kindergarten and decided to take a year off from the officer position--By no means am I stepping away from PTO just not being an officer--I told them I will attend every meeting still and volunteer whenever--but I needed to give my little guy some mommy attention since he is my baby and only has a few more years to be babied! he attended his first PTO meeting when he was a week old so PTO is part of his life too LOL!! I just think he needs some mommie and me time--I know I do--they grow so fast!!
Anyways today I was like oh maybe I shouldn't have but then again I know I need to and then I am like well what if this happens LOL!! Give me a year off and I will be back at it full force--maybe even go after the president spot LOL!!

my 3 yr old loves that song--he goes around singin it at the top of his lungs---he loves Tim McGraw--last month he loved I may be a real bad boy but baby I'm a real good man. He is my little singer---he sings everything--country, rock, 80's and hip hop--you name it we listen to it!!
Right now he is really into hip hop though--thanks to my daughter and her friends. He went with her and a few friends the other day and well he came home saying PIMPIN AIN"T EASY MOM!!
I WAS LIKE WHAT!!!! LOL!!! My daughter is like well so and so says that all the time, so I had to remind them that 3 yr olds repeat everything they hear LOL!!
KIDS GOTTA LOVE THEM!!

Last Dollar (Fly Away)
~Tim McGraw

1, 2, 3 like a bird I sing
'Cause you've given me the most beautiful set of wings
I'm so glad you're here today
'Cause tomorrow I might have to go and fly away

I'm down to my last dollar
I've walked right through my shoes
Just a small reminder of the hell that I've gone through
Look at me still smilin' as I'm wonderin' what I'll do
'Cause if I ain't got nothing I've got nothin' to lose

Everybody say ha ha ha, ha ha ha
My friends are always givin' me watches, hats, and wine
That's how I know this is serious
That's how I know it's time
I don't have to worry about things that I don't have
'Cause if I ain't got nothing I've got nothing to hold me back

1, 2, 3 like a bird I sing
'Cause you've given me the most beautiful set of wings
I'm so glad you're here today
'Cause tomorrow I might have to go and fly away
Fly Away, fly away, fly away, fly away

There's nothing that's worth keeping me from places I should go
Happy meal, a lovin' land, gonna tour from coast to coast
I'm leaving everything behind there's not much that I need
'Cause if I ain't got nothin' I'm footloose and fancy free

1, 2, 3 like a bird I sing
'Cause you've given me the most beautiful set of wings
I'm so glad you're here today
'Cause tomorrow I might have to go and fly away,
Fly Away, fly away, fly away, fly away

Look at me so free, nothing's holdin' me down
Look at me so free, can't keep my feet on the ground

1, 2, 3 like a bird I sing
'Cause you've given me the most beautiful set of wings
I'm so glad you're here today
'Cause tomorrow I might have to go and
