This is why my best friend is my Best Friend! She knows I've been on 'limited-activity' orders and how grumpy that makes me. She also knows that I am ridiculously nuts about the Twelve Days of Christmas. Most of my decorations are around that theme. So, anyway, for the past six days she's been mailing Twelve Days of Christmas coloring pages to me in the mail - one for each day. So far I've gotten from 12 down to 7. She also wrote the # on the outside of the envelope so she'd remember which order to mail them in. That makes me giggle because it wouldn't have occurred to me to do that and I would have had to reopen the envelopes to put them in order.
She must have searched the internet until she found the worst possible drawings (they're bad!) and she puts a post-it on each one with some sarcastic comment. It's a ton of fun!
Of course she also knows that I have a box of 96 Crayolas crayons and another box of 50 colored pencils. You never know when you're going to have a coloring emergency....

I never heard of it before either, until I found out I had it! #1 reason Shorty is an only child. And from what I've learned, it's a miracle to even have him! My younger sister has it too. But I have four other siblings and they're all clear, as are both of my parents. (whew!) Shorty will have to be tested some day but I'm not ready to borrow trouble. Pregnancy and major physical trauma are the two prime catalysts. He won't have the first one and I pray he'll never have the second one. Oh, but after reading People magazine over the past few months, I guess I can't really say he won't have the first one..... Almost anything is possible these days!!
Anyway, like I said, many people have it way worse than me so, except for the occasional pity party, you won't find me crying in my beer over it.
Speaking of beer, where has Shaun been? We haven't had a full blown page two party since he stopped hanging out here.

I'm just a big cry baby. Lots of people have it a lot worse than me. If I can see people face the things they have to face with dignity and grace then I can at least face mine with a sense of humor and a smile on my face!
My problem? I have a Protein S deficiency. It's the opposite of being a hemophiliac. Have I told you this before? Anyway, it's a serious condition that I try not to take too seriously...

Glad you liked the blog LUV...It is so easy to get overwhelmed.
I just finished my Christmas letter so now I won't be a BIG, FAT, LOSER for this year anyway.
CC-you have such a great attitude and seemingly so much going on in the health department. What an inspiration you are to folks with your can do attitude. I agree that every man needs a lesson occassionally on who holds their ______s in their hand. The age old "are you on/close to/just after/fill in the blank that men use drives me nuts.
