I love this Donuts with Dad idea. I have contemplated it for about a year now but worry about our size. 935 students - 3 grades! But if we broke it down and did 3 different days maybe it could work. I was thinking they could go to their classrooms though instead of the cafeteria. I don't think the cafe workers would like us in there before breakfast.
If someone could e-mail me a flyer I would be so grateful. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Hi everyone, If anyone has a copy of their flyer for Donuts fo Dads and Muffins for Moms, could you email it to me also. We want to try these this year and I can show the flyers to the principal and to our executive board. It certainly sounds like its a huge success with everyone. Thanks! We've been wanting to host a Donuts with Dads the past couple years, but have a huge challenge - any advice on how to work around this:
- We have a before/afterschool program (basically a sitting service for the two income families) that starts at 6:30 am and goes until 6:30 pm. The principle will not allow us to hold events while they are at the school. About 20 percent of the kids in the school are enrolled in this.
This causes conflict with many other things we have wanted to do to as it has to be done at night or Saturdays.
I read these posts and am so excited about the idea of getting more dads into our school that we've scheduled two donuts with dads for next year! If someone with experience running this event could send me an example of a flyer and other pertinent information, I'd greatly appreciate it...Thanks!!!
