There is one/two listed under the file exchange now-- check the out. Prizes could water bottles that have your school logo on them- you can order for under 1.00 each-- get coupons from fast food restaurants to add to them-- or a health store-- work on prizes for the most pledges -- maybe a new bike, new tennis shoes-- hit the stores that carry things healthy habit items-- look in your area-- maybe a specialty running store or workout store such as Dunhams', Dick's sporting goods, a Nike store-- see if they would donate an item or gift card to use as as a prize-- make it fun for the kids and enticing-- make a display that shows what they could win.... make the event itself fun for the kids-- so they want to do it again. Good luck!
we are a pre-k - 8th grade school and are getting ready for a walk-a-thon in the spring. Our school does not have a lot of parental involvment (we are working on that however) We have never done a walk-a-thon. We are trying to raise money for a better, bigger and more useful playground. Any ideas for prizes, getting involvment and making everyone excited about this endevour??? Also if i could find a pledge sheet as an example, that would be great!!!!
