We are planning a first annual walk-a-thon for the Fall. I was wondering if anyone could email me with volunteer sheets, pledge sheets, or any information that would be helpful to help make this a success. I am reading a lot of good ideas on everyone's post. Thanks for the hints. email - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
I love the the idea of getting sponsors and adding their company names to the back of shirts... I'm going to try this over the summer and see if I can get enough sponsors to make this worth while-0- our catalog sales have been so done this year-- we have to try something new, fun and exciting--
We'll see????
We do the themed gift baskets as well as part of our Spring Carnival... We let the teachers pick the theme, but the pto puts the baskets together-- we have a box outside each classroom-- the kids bring things in that match their theme, then we collect all the items and out the basket together.
We're also looking to get rid of the wrapping paper- catalog sale for a while and switch to a walk-a-thon or something else that will bring in as much-- with less fundraising
I am thinking of ideas for our fundraiser next year and thought of a Walk-a-thon. What wonderful ideas you all have. I went online and googled "Walk-a-thon" and didn't get near as much information as I have on this message board. My problem is that I can't bring anything up in the File exchange section. Oh well..hopefully I'll figure out the problem some day.
Does anyone do a theme gift basket fundraiser? Our school (approx. 430 students) has done it in the past and raised about $7,000.00. Problem is..the teachers aren't crazy about it as it was a lot of work for them b/c each classroom did their own theme basket. Any ideas?
I'm so looking to get rid of the wrapping paper, trinket fundraisers.
Thanks for posting your ideas...Melissa
