Regarding WeeBlossom, it's really a disservice when people list smaller companies on this site. The bottom line is that a lot of companies will donate, but once they are bombarded with hundreds of emails, they have no choice BUT to ask to be removed and turn people down. I think people should not lose sight of that fact. They probably donated at some point and now are getting "bad press" with your comments. In my opinion, that is not very respectable.
It's worth noting that Aries Apparel is a small local company on the west coast - they are listed by someone as donating two gift cards. That group was local. They don't extend beyond that.
As for ideas to present gift cards at an auction we too use picture frames. If your auction is in the spring or summer we like to cut fresh flowers with donated vases and present the gift card in the bouquet. Flower shops easily donate the note picks to hold the gift card. Then the buyer gets a gift card and beautiful flowers to take home.
We rec'd an American Girl doll this week (first time ya!). Does anyone know of a doll clothing website that would donate an outfit to go with the doll? I'm in Indiana if anyone knows of any in my state too.
I just received the same email from WeeBlossom and felt the same way. I was a little shocked, but removed them from our donation list and will never try them again.
Re: Wee Blossom. I use their products with kids I work with in therapy. I received an email asking me to remove myself from their list as they are a small company and are not supporting anyone but one local charity now. Just a FYI. So I removed myself from their list including my purchase order per their request . So odd, never mind a rejection just wish kindness came with it. Oh well. Just a FYI so you dont bother emailing them. Have a great day!
It is legit, but somewhat outdated. It is a virtual trip around NYC and it's located in the Empire State Building. The reviews are not great on it, however, but most of those reviewing paid for the tickets.
