Just wanted to say how grateful I am to this site! I reached out to all the sites on the list for a donation and 3 months later I have over $10,000 worth of donations! And more are coming in! I found when I would look up a site for a donation the search engine would return other sites that had a donation request form! It was never ending!
Our event is in November and should be a success!
As anyone heard from the winning bidders of the Sunset Vacation certificate? We received the $600 voucher and are going to pay the $179 in fees and taxes for the winner. But we want to make sure this is a legit thing to be auctioning off and their won't be any problems.
In May I used this list to really jump start my organization's Spring fundraiser and it was a huge help. I'm setting out on this journey again for our holiday fundraiser and I have an advice question.
For places that you really want, places that are real luxury experiences and high ticket items, if they don't have a donation request process on their website, how do you go about the ask?
Very specific example: My org is located in NYC, a stay at or a spa gift certificate to the Mandarin Oriental would be amazing.
My plan is to go in person as well as send them a physical letter. When I go in person, who do I ask for? How much stuff should I bring (ie. should I bring my 501c(3) letter? should I bring collateral that shows what my org does?)
Sea World indicated the fundraiser must be in Florida or
If your organization is located outside the state of Florida, please include copies of airfare and hotel vouchers, as donations to out-of-state requests will only be made when SeaWorld will be included in a Florida travel package.
