Thanks for the feedback about the Ipad, great information. There are no shortcuts when it comes to getting great companies that give donations. This may sound crazy and did take time but when I found this message board, I started at page 1 and went through the entire thing. It takes time but everyone gives great tidbits of information.
I agree with Tracy - probably time to close this discussion. It will still be available for reference, but it's become a list of emails for pages and pages now. We can all move to the updated one.
Don't know how you are all doing with the famous list of 120, but have found that few if any apply to our school and many of the links are wrong. Hope the rest of you are having more luck than I did. I've decided I'm much better off by going with my own spreadsheet from last year.
On a separate note, emailed with the lady at Altec Lansing who sent our donation last year. They have been sold and are no longer able to donate. I'm sorry - they provided great items and it sounds as though only the name of the company survived the buyout.
I'm so sorry if I offended anyone by asking for the list. After reading it, I saw the list and copied and pasted it myself. I also saw the other thread that was started.
Sorry, but after seeing over 400 pages from this thread, and realizing that the list on page 359 is old, I thought it was best to get an updated one and thought this was the appropriate way to do that.
It probably took more time for you to write that response than it took for someone to email me the list. But, if it made you happy...great!
But, if you don't want anyone to respond and ask for the list, why not just close this thread and everyone write their responses in the 2013 updated donation list.
BTW, thank you so much to everyone who contributed useful comments on here about which companies gave a more positive response and how you got your donations. I got some amazing ideas, that I never would have thought of.
There is no list that will be emailed to anyone. Here's the list. Feel free to point out any issues with it. I am updating it as I do my calls this year.
