Hi all!

Our first auction was last in April, 2012. We did pretty good I THINK & raised $18,000.00.
My question is... how soon can one start asking for new donations for our auction for this coming year April 2013?

Will companies like Disney donate again? When they say once a year, or every 12 months, how does that work if your auction is the same month every year? I have started to compile my request list that I will seek donations from so that it is easier than it was last year, but not sure when to start asking.
I know that there are companies that request donation requests 3, 4, 6 months out, but other than those how do you do it?

No but you can usually go to their corporate website and look for something like company info, or community, community giving, etc. It usually has donation info or an online application there.

They seem to be hard to get from past experience though. I think they tend to donate to larger groups/charities or specific causes.

Has anyone ever received a donated cruise from Carnival, Royal Caribbean, etc. and if so...how did you go about getting it or applying for it?
